For some reason I keep think this Knicks team is similar to Woodson's Hawks
Main scorer: Carmelo Anthony --> Joe Johnson
Post player: Amar'e Stoudamire --> Al Horford
Defender: Tyson Chandler --> Josh Smith
Guard who's name isn't Mike Bibby: Jeremy Lin --> Jamal Crawford
Someone to chuck shots: JR Smith/Baron Davis --> Marvin Williams/Maurice Evans
So a second round exit at best for the Knicks.

Lol Idk about the Jeremy Lin comparison to Jamal Crawford. Jamal Crawford was kind of a ball hog. If Melo could somehow get back to averaging 24-27 ppg they might be a team to worry about. And Melo is the JJ of the Knicks. The superstar that everyone hates except Melo hasn't flicked his fans off yet and got a contract extension for it.

I would say JR is more like Crawford. the scorer who comes off the bench.

Given the record they're coming back from and the fact they haven't gotten out of the first round since Patrick Ewing's last season as a Knick, nor won a playoff game since the season after that, I'd say that a second round exit - especially if they can take a win or two from their opponent - is a respectable result.

But JR is a complete knucklehead.
I'm really impressed with the way Jeremy Lin is playing for this new coach. He showed a lot of toughness against Philly.

Lin is day-to-day, Amar'e is out indefinitely with a bulging disc in his back. Shit, shit, shit.....

It didn't seem to matter too much against the Bucks, but obviously not the best news with the regular season winding down.

Reports say Amar'e will miss 2-4 weeks while gettint treatment(no surgery). Knicks have enough firepower to make up for Amar'e - these cats have to step up, especially Carmelo. Time for him to put the Knicks on his back and get it done.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but the player we really need is Jeffries. He does all the dirty work on defense.
Lin's not playing tonight against Orlando.

Magic/Knicks is actually being shown here today, tipping off soon.

Damn, the Knicks were FOCUSED tonight - they destroyed the Magic. Defense was on point!

A very impressive victory, no doubt.

The Magic meanwhile are very lackadaisical on their approach!

You don't say.

Tyson Chandler has got to be one of the best free agent pickups the Knicks ever had. He sets the tone on defense and provides leadership on & off the court. I love it.

Tyson Chandler with his tap backs to get the Knicks extra possesions is an underrated part of his game. He does it about 4 or 5 times a game which lead to a few extra possesions. He knows what he's doing and really doesn't care about statistics or anything. He's come a long way since his days with Chicago.

Knicks took a step back in Atlanta. WTF is up with the turnovers - shit. They better beat Cleveland tonight.

The Knicks are just an unfortunate team.
1) Amare - Out for season
2) Lin - Injured. waiting for MRI result.
3) Baron - Playing through Leg injury. Limping but playing.
4) Carmelo - Playing through groin injury. Aggravated groin injury last night though.
5) Jerfferies - Out for a few weeks. Knee fucked up.
6) Chandler - Added groin injury to his list of ailments. Questionable for Saturday game.
7) Bill Walker(nobody) - Not to be avail for 2 to 3 weeks due to an injury.
But on the bright side they have 7 healthy ones as of today. Those names include:
PG: Mike Bibby
SG: Landry Fields, Iman Shumpert, JR Smith (Lolz. Log jam?)
SF: Steve Novak
PF: *Nobody
C: Josh Harrellson, Jerome Jordan

@NYKnicks: #Knicks Injury Update: Jeremy Lin will be out approx 6 weeks after an MRI revealed small chronic meniscus tear.
@HowardBeckNYT: "It is a big blow," Knicks coach Mike Woodson says. ... Lin heading for arthroscopic knee surgery
Lin Sanity is OVER!
Sun Apr 01, 2012 11:00 am
So Baron Davis & Toney Douglas will have to shoulder the load...
Knicks are fucked.

They can play SF.

I am steaming. Last night was a BAD loss. They needed that game with such a brutal schedule coming up including Chicago twice. Without Lin, our point guard situation is a mess. Shit.
