what do u mean? i have to open the portrit file? cuz i tried to find the hidden files in my 2k12 folder and they was not there :cry:

they are CAP faces that are standins for the real rookies which will now appear in new rosters.

The updates come through automatically, same as the console versions.

they arent values, its a texture for 2K ranks.....

Is there a quick way to look thru the list of textures in the global? I want to find the texture for the knee braces but there are so many textures and i dont wanna go thru and miss it again.

that is the point of this thread, where you can look at the list of names instead of textures.

press ctrl+F and search for "knee"

gotcha, yea I thought you were looking at the textures themselves in the mod tool.

I use the 2k mod tool (man i remember the 09 iff tool and the manual labor, anywayz) and i have always wondered what the other files that have no texture or model preview, but are listed on the global or any other iff above, look like... Are they basically non-viewable/locked, maybe animations of some sort or idk... Can anyone shine a light on this...?

Not getting the portraits to add up...you have 28 - 1589

But in game it's 30 - 1589

They are off for some reason, and all the teams I edited have the wrong portraits...did I do something wrong...

what are you talking about in-game? What ranges of numbers are those?

the portraits_hi files have less textures in it than the normal portraits files. Both lists have done a great job sticking to the numbers I assigned them (which were directly extracted from the file) when I've looked at random faces and wanted to figure out who they were.

Yeah in game the photos still aren't showing up with the right person...it's weird...not sure why...I will extract the portrait files from the disc and start over...I was overwriting one from moddingway with new images...and none of them match up with the players once in game using your charts...

Can someone tell me the knee_hex dds, I can only locate one that's 10.dds, is there another, it's pretty slow browsing through the global files since my laptop isn't working, I'm browsing on my phone

Sir Jao, please i need you help..how can i put portrait in a specific player, how can i identify quickly in the MOD Tool the Player ID..for example, in my roster i have generic face of Kent Bazemore of (GSW) and recently Keiran just released his CF, so i want to use this CF and i want to put his Portrait..what should i do? please help me sir..Thanks in advance..

figure out what player you want to replace in the file
take that number and reference the portID in this thread's list
swap out the textures to your custom one
goto the REDitor, and import in that portraitID
