Perhaps Miller will be gone by the deadline if they can move him for a big man as previously suggested, what with the injuries to Oden and Przybilla. That might free up a little room at point guard, at least an opportunity to break into the rotation perhaps.

I honestly can't see Mills getting a chance at playing for Blazers this season. He might make his debut but he won't play until he has a full summer league & training camp under his belt.
Realistically, I'd prefer Mills on a different team. The Blazers have shown an unwillingness to play talented young players (e.g. Bayless, J. O'Neal etc). I do thank the Blazers for drafting him though. I thought for sure he'd fall no further than the number 35 pick in the Draft.

Shame Mills jumped to pros in a draft class with so many talented PGs. He slipped so far down the board. Would have liked to see him picked up in the first round and to a team that has minutes to share.

I'm not expecting him to play a lot either, but depending on what happens with Miller - or given the current trend for the Blazers, injuries - perhaps there's a slim chance he'll see some sparodic minutes and occasionally more when someone is in foul trouble or is unavailable for whatever reason. Hopefully he'll get a chance somewhere else if things ultimately don't work out in Portland, with someone else picking him up and giving him an opportunity to play.

Watching the Bucks game (just got cable back and with the Sonics leaving, we get all the Blazers games!), and they say Rudy Fernandez is coming back, which kind of sucks. The injuries were good for our crowded backcourt (Roy, Blake, Miller, Rudy, Bayless). As much as I like Rudy, I really wish he'd be traded with Miller for an expiring big.

Rudy Should get more time,he's a good player.
Though trading someone for a big would be really good,they are seriously broke at C.

He's a great player, who would be far better in an up-tempo offense. As it is, he is a glorified spot up shooter, like half of the team. Rudy's return, along with Blake's means that Bayless will likely revert to being the 3rd guard off the bench. I like Blake, but Bayless is the team's beat point guard, and either he or Miller has to go. Though Andre is better, I prefer to keep Blake because of his willingness to play a supporting role and fit with the team (plus I just like the guy), but either way, there aren't room for both. Rudy is going to want more than 10-15 MPG behind Roy, and I hate Roy playing SF (especially once Batum comes back), so I'd like to see KP get a veteran SG and a big man for Rudy and Trout's expiring.

Great win tonight against the Magic without Roy. Dwight Howard was in such a slump that he got shut down by LMA and Juwan Howard, while VC and Ra$hard also sucked.
Favorite moment of the game was Blake hitting the buzzer-beater to get the fans their chalupas. Lots of their fans hate him, but he's my favorite Blazer. Awesome in 2K7 and just seems like a likable guy.

Dwight has been in a slump for quite some times now. He's really struggled to score.

Biggest game of the season for Portland in Utah tonight. Meanwhile, the Blazers close their season against the Warriors... Phoenix wins, and the Blazers draw Phoenix, then Dallas/SAS in the first and second rounds. Even without Roy, I think they can seriously contend for the WCF. If Utah wins, then Portland goes down in 5 against the second best team in the West.

Rudy's trying to return to Europe. There goes our sex appeal.
Not surprised at all, since I knew he would be moved. With Roy, Matthews, Bayless and even Elliot Williams, it is obvious that he would have no place in the rotation (barring injuries). I like Rudy and his game, but Bayless and Matthews are both better fits and players for this team.
I have hated the way Rudy's handled this situation, badmouthing the Blazers and killing his trade value a la Vince Carter. For that reason, I hope the Blazers let him rot on the bench for the last two years of his contract.

Still missing the Sergio-Rudy show at Rose Garden.

I don't know why Rudy wasting his time coming to the NBA. Unless he ended up on a team like the Spurs, he was never going to get a fair go.

He's been
fined for his comments, which isn't surprising. Even if his frustration is understandable, he's handled the situation poorly.

Unless the Nets get lucky in the lottery (top 3 pick) you pretty much gave up Wallace for a 1st rounder and a useless big to replace Camby.
I think Flynn still has potential, he is super athletic, so hopefully he can make use of more minutes in Houston.
Meanwhile Houston is jumping ship.
J Hill -> Fisher
Flynn, Thabeet -> Camby
And now they're likely getting rid of Crawford.

And they fire Nate McMillan as coach. The hell is wrong in Portland?

I presume it's more likely Phil Jackson will take over as the Knicks' head coach.
But it's a shame Nate had to leave...

Hard to see much potential in Jonny Flynn when he's been the worst player in the NBA three years running. Since our point guard rotation is Raymond Felton and Nolan Smith, I expect a lot of minutes, and subsequently a lot of losses. Hopefully he doesn't put up too many points in those losses and he goes back to the D-League where he belongs.
I have higher hopes for Thabeet honestly. It's sad (but not really) to see Oden finally waived, and it actually is sad to see Nate go (though he had to go). I don't mind seeing Camby or Wallace go. Will improve our pick, get Thabeet more minutes and both were gone at the end of the year anyway.
Houston reloading for that 8 seed, but I have a gut feeling Minnesota or even some left field team like Phoenix or Golden State will knock them to 9th again.

PHX did extremly well since All Star break and with Rubio out Wolves will have it hard to stay around .500.
With last nights win over the LAC PHX is my official pick for #8 in the West...
