ADDING PLAYER/S INTO DYNASTY

This is for all the people who keeps on asking this question...

the usual scenarios: your playing dynasty and all of a sudden you wanted to add player/s into your dynasty (ex: jordan, malone or kemp and those players who's under 65% overall rating (both current and retired players) that is not playable in dynasty anymore.

note: just adding your player into your dynasty will surely crash your game!!!
how to avoid that???

JUST FOLLOW MY SIMPLE STEPS CAREFULLY:

1 open dbcommander
2 open your dynasty save folder
3 go to players.dbf
4 check the names from bottom part and you will see the generated rookie names for the upcoming dynasty draft (ex names: pau bryant, karl stackton, scottie jordan, kevin westbook, blake paul or lamarcus oden)
5 for example you want to add karl malone to your dynasty season 2 or whatever season 3,4,5,6,7-25.
6 using you dbcommander open both: roster save(that contain karl malone name or other player/s that you want to add) and your dynasty save folder players.dbf and appearance.dbf
7 now don't miss this part, we gonna replace one of the upcoming rookie, ex you choose lamarcus oden and his playerid is 5555, now copy karl malone players.dbf value and paste it to lamarcus oden players.dbf and do the same process to lamarcus oden appearance.dbf (5555) and copy paste karl malone appearance.dbf
8 again don't miss this part, to complete the process.. go to players.dbf again and change karl malone playerid back to 5555 and do that same thing with appearance.dbf appearid 5555
9 the final part: in players.dbf change karl malone team:50 cashteam: 50 then save and load again your dynasty and now you will see karl malone as a free agent in your dynasty and ready to play.

back up first your dynasty just in case anything goes wrong! and if you have question just write it here.

I remember trying this about a year ago(before i knew that i had to change the appearance.dbf file)and i added David Robinson.When i drafted him he was a 6 foot center that was white skinned.

before i found this solution my game crash because i didn't know that it's not allowed to add player so i replace instead.

or just use the copy/paste/paste record append command on the db comander for convenienc on the ratings

There's a tutorial for that in the NBA Live 2005 Tutorials section. It still applies to NBA Live 08.

Is there anyway that you can draft your created player?? Just like my player mode in 2K?

You could edit a draftee, draft him and control him using Player Lock (which would require downloading the fix which re-adds access to the Player Lock option). That's about as close as you'll get to replicating My Player mode.

Player lock is already in 07. But is there a way that I can put my own cybeface and portrait? What I mean is, will the portrait and CF show up if ISGENERATE in the database is true?

I think so. If not, there would be no problem changing ISGENERATE to False after the Draft is completed and the new season is ready to tip off.
