Deal Is Reached, 82 Game Season To Start On Time
BRI set at 50-50, CBA Similar To Old One

October 7, 2011 - Biggest buzzer-beater for Derek Fisher since game 5 of the 2004 West Semis? On the last feasible day to get a deal done without postponing the season, the players and owners reached an agreement on a new CBA. The new CBA sets the new BRI at 50-50, grants each team one amnesty clause and makes a myriad of system changes you can read about here.

The 2011-12 NBA season will begin, as planned, on November 1. Training camp will be condensed, pre-season games will be cancelled and free agency is set to begin on October 11.
