He's a better defender this season - does a good job of defending the PnR and just overall help defense. He moves his feet and uses his body, standing his ground to force his man to miss. He's still a pathetic rebounder though
On offense he's learned how to mix it up inside, but when tired he's settling for that 3 ball. When rested, he drives to the basket more and is def a better player from last year. May emerge as the second or third best player of his draft class

He's improved in his offense but in defense as well. The kid's having a great season. But the Raptors will still fail with him as the best player.

He's off to a great start, and has always had the talent to be this good, but 11 games of good play is a bit too small of a sample size after five years of mediocrity.

He's always been a potential threat offensively and now he has expanded his game by not relying on the 3 ball all the time. He's getting better and better in the post and his shot selection has also improved. Defensively he's stepped up as well with the new coach and system but as has been pointed out, its very early in the season. As a raptors fan i sincerely hope this level of play becomes consistent.

I'd have to echo what others have said so far. The season is young and he'll have to maintain this level of play to really establish himself as a star in the league but he's off to a good start and he's not without talent. At the very least, in the short term he should be a bright spot in what will likely be another tough season for the Raptors.
