I got my "downloads" folder name changed automatically to "latest" (again?!!) this very third time and it's getting pretty annoying
..and the weird part is that none of you got this problem before..

Sorry bout the confusion. Anyway, atleast you know what's the workaround about the weird thing that's happening to your save folder.

yeah, luckily.. and you can't edit players when this happens, it gets me back to the desktop every time, that's when I know that it has been changed again ..

It's automatically downloaded as long as you are connected to the net while running the game. No need to install...

i've tried the suggestion's i've read here to make the shoes appear into the game. but why do they appear white?? can someone help me? i'm noob in updating shoes thanks for the help! great work!

they appear white because the files aren't in the game yet, the game has to download it first
have u tried to play a quick game to let the game download the shoes files itself?

well, it's a wild guess here, but u might unlock the shoes after u get it in MP at certain point of the game idk, sorry mate..

I have one question:
what's the difference between nshoe_editor_xxxx.iff, nshoe_fe_xxxx.iff, nshoe_ingame_xxxx.iff files (which e.g. I get with Online Data) and pshoexxxx.iff file (which I get in "Missing Files" of some unofficial roster)?
I see all of them in NBA 2K12 installation folder. So when I want to add some new shoes, how should I name them? Or it's not important?

I'm not so sure for these ones, but I think these files are needed to make the NIKE iD shoes working for the game

u can use it this way, choose any player, list of player's ID viewtopic.php?f=144&t=82626. so for example Ray Allen png number is 0013 then I pick a pair for him, Jordan Ol' School III which is shoe_545_00 (hidden) or other shoes that are listed, rename it to pshoe0013 and put it back to NBA 2K12 folder, remember always make a backup first, when u already changed the shoes thru the game for him u can consult to this page viewtopic.php?f=144&t=84617..

- nope, u don't need to, and I know I don't need to, hex editing is pretty confusing for me..
- AFAIK we can't do this on every player (yet?..), just certain players like Kobe, Wade, and Durant.

and put it on 2k12 folder and paste the 2 files. Then played miami home and miami away on exibition. But wades shoes are both the same on away and home. So i guess it didnt work..

You need to select Jordan Fly Wade on the Manage/Edit Roster screen. It should show Jordan Fly Wade 2 Varsity Red/White as your home and Jordan Fly Wade 2 as away in game...

so we can only use the nshoe trick on wade, durant and kobe.. is there a way to use this on other players like lebron? i would also love to see lebrons home and away shoes

Here's what I know, the shoes files and players files are separated but u can assign pshoes based on players ID. What I meant previously by exclusive was 2K made only 3 slots of special shoes type (different types of home-away) which are nshoe_ingame_away/home_0600-2 so in total we have 6 slots. Even when you've cloned so many Kobes, the ID of the shoes are still nshoe_ingame_away/home_0600-2.

What I usually do is assigning different shoes for away/home shoes with the files. For instance, I choose nshoe_ingame_0536 (Jordan Fly Wade 2 Varsity Red/White) for nshoe_ingame_home_0602 (Jordan Wade's slot) as home shoes and nshoe_ingame_0535 (Jordan Fly Wade 2) for nshoe_ingame_away_0602 (Jordan Wade's slot) as away shoes, and it's not limited to Wade for Wade or Kobe for Kobe but u can also do this for other home-away slots with different shoes. Remember, the away shoes will only appear if u play away games.
