http://lakers.ocregister.com/2011/12/09 ... ace/67351/“You know, I didn’t think the season would start until January,” he said. “You work out, you’re in shape in October, September, August. You’re in shape (at that time.)
“Then (NBA commissioner) David Stern said it’s going to be a ‘nuclear winter” and I’m thinking the season isn’t gong to start in December, you know. So, (you have) a little bit more martinis in November.
“Then boom! David Stern says no ‘nuclear winter’ and you have a season.”
This is what separates the great players from the rest i reckon.
Artest is using the lockout as an excuse. Meanwhile players like LeBron James etc are working their arse off just to be prepared just in case the lockout ends.
There's no excuse Mr World Peace. It's all on you.

Agreed, no one to blame but himself. The previous lockout provided its fair share of cautionary tales headlined by the likes of Shawn Kemp and Vin Baker and plenty of other players weren't taking their chances despite the prospect of a season looking very bleak at times. He's letting the team down (not to mention himself), plain and simple.

lol this guy is a joke, while everybody else, out of shape or not, they are investing their time in catching up starting drills earlier than expected,
then Ron Artest is wasting his time complaining. He should be more happy and appreciative he got his job back. WORK HARD MAN!!!

Not to mention Bynum's five game suspension to start the season. Of course, there is the matter of the Howard rumours...

Kind of annoys me that the Peace Maker is like that when someone like Brandon Roy has to retire.
