Just a joke but this is what I think of when I see "Bosh" and "Defense" in the same sentence...

Shiiit. What a sell-out. Memphis should lynch him.

You're right ...But .

No, he's not. MEM has Mike Heisley as an owner who's totally a douche(probably the only owner who's actually more evil than Sterling and Dan Gilbert). You just don't play for these idiots, especially when their teams have Zero % of contending, and you are aged with unique skillsets that can help out true contenders.

Why do fans think the players have to stay loyal when the team/owner hasn't shown any class in that regards at all?

You have right too.but i believe sometimes that players give up and go to a strong team.i believe that they shouldn't give up and try for the best..

Memphis as the 8th seed eliminated the 1st seeded Spurs and pushed the Thunder (who people think are contenders) to seven games. That's not zero percent chance. Unless of course you're basing it on the Canadian mathematics.

It's not a joke. That's his mindset. That's the same guy that said diving for a loose ball has no place in the league because it can cause injuries to the players around you.
If Dennis Rodman was still playing he would kick Bosh in the nuts.

Re: Battier to Heat:What do you think?

haha rodman would have really did that :P

Personally,i think that Battier won't offer that much to Heat as he could do a couple of years ago,but still,he's a better defender than possibly the 3/4 of this Miami team(anyone except James,Wade-and of course his epicness Joel Anthony) and he can shoot the ball as well...
Overall a solid choice for the Heat,he's a good back-up player...

Yea.Battier will be a usefull tool for that miami team.

That's what's been reported, though he's not exactly the centre they needed.

I agree with you :).. i just reported it..curry will not fit to miami .

Curry's still in the NBA? Why? :D

Desperation and delusion, probably.

Apparently Curry's lost 70 pounds.... but i'll believe that when i see it.

Re: Battier to Heat:What do you think?

Sun Dec 11, 2011 12:39 pm

For sure. It seems we hear that every year, that he's lost a lot of weight, gotten in great shape and is looking to make a strong comeback. Curry's not without talent, at least at the offensive end, but at this point he could be washed up.

Re: Battier to Heat:What do you think?

Sun Dec 11, 2011 6:22 pm

Maybe he'll be like Chandler and be the difference maker for the Heat... or not... :P

Re: Battier to Heat:What do you think?

Sun Dec 11, 2011 9:38 pm

Most likely not. But he's definitely worth a shot.

Re: Battier to Heat:What do you think?

I can see Battier making a difference, not to mention Billups if they end up getting him. Curry on the other hand...well, I wouldn't hold my breath. If he's in shape then maybe he can give them some productive minutes here and there but he's never been a stellar defender and is a disappointment on the boards for a centre, so it's a safe bet that he's not going to be a "last piece of the puzzle" type player for them.

Re: Battier to Heat:What do you think?

Curry is one of those chances a team like the Heat can take. If he does want to re-establish himself in the league they get a guy who has natural skill in terms of scoring and can give them 10 minutes, and if he turns out good 20 minutes. But if not, they can easily get rid of him. He's 29 but he hasn't logged the minutes others have, getting his weight down does a lot for his past problems.

There are pictures out there, the 70lbs figure is more than believable. You have to realize where he was dropping from. He didn't go from his listed 295 to 225. It's more like when Shaq dropped 25 pounds that one offseason and few people noticed since he was dropping from like 340 to 315. The listed weight is nowhere what he was previous at in reality. Curry was well over 350 when he "voluntarily" took time off from the league. He was at 290 when he was fat for the Bulls a decade ago.

This is from a year ago and every account says Curry has improved since then:

Fun fact: Curry apparently has seven kids. Four with his wife.

Agreed, signings like that aren't much of a gamble.

And how does Curry look to Bosh?

"Looks good. Looks good," Bosh said.

Wade, who has worked out with Curry often -- they are both pupils of trainer Tim Grover in Chicago -- said he was also impressed.

"It was good to see him come in," Wade said of Curry, who was listed at six-foot-11 and 295 pounds in his last NBA stint. "Just to walk in, I haven't seen nobody walk through them doors that big in a long time. So it was good to see."

Personally, I don't think he's to be a solution at C, but if he could return to Curry of the Bulls days, then perhaps there's a hope for him to the man at C for the Heat this season.

What's more exciting for me at this moment though is...
Bosh is noticeably more muscular, Wade has worked to trim his body fat even below the notoriously demanding Heat standards, and James has said he's been ready to attack the new season since about mid-July anyway.

Curry has no passion to the play the game. he needs the $. you should punch yourself for that saying that, NovU

i may as well say Marcus fizer is the answer to the bulls low post scoring problem

But the Heat don't need a major surgery at C position. Just something better than last season's Magloire, or Ilgua and Dempi. And C who can play better than Joel would be a "solution" enough for the Heat.

Battier is a really good addition a tenacious defender who can shoot 3s from the wing. I'm really surprised that Miami hasn't use the amnesty on Mike Miller despite acquiring Battier. I'll use it on BOSH  (Y)

If so, it's welcome news that a comeback may be in the works. Watch out, Boozer!

If I needed just one low post basket to survive some harrowing situation I might take Fizer over Boozer.
