Posey 71

Cuttino Mobley?

Wed May 19, 2004 8:23 am

74

I think we rate players too high. B-Diddy just an 83? He was an MVP Candidate. 88-90 for me. But Booz a 79? I think a 74 maybe.

Derek Fisher?

Wed May 19, 2004 8:37 am

I have to try this again.

I will give him a 75

He is a good outside shooter, moves the ball and is a clutch player

Shaun Livinginston?

FISHER 81!!!! Umm Fisher is like a 64 or 63

Livingston will prolly be a 58...its more harder to name people that arent in the game yet.

How did someone give Baron a 83, he has quickenss, handling, passing, atheleticism, is a pretty good rebounder, strongest PG, and all that, just think of what the player can do and his rating should fall into there, he should be 89 or 90.

Joe Johnson 69????
This guys is putting up about 17-5-5 and he's not even a 70? He's also pretty atheletic and has a great mid-range shot, and a decent outside shot?
He should be 73-75.

Derek Fisher shouldn't even crack the 60 mark lol

Malik Badiane - 50

Corey Maggette?

Wed May 19, 2004 2:59 pm

Corey Maggette = 78-79 (I don't think hes ready for his 80'ness)

How bout slava medvedenko (not used yet right?)

Wed May 19, 2004 5:14 pm

Everyones rating everyone too high... Kenyon Martin is 74 with revised stats in Live 04, James is 76 with revised stats. There are maybe 20 guys in the league that break the 80 mark and only a handful of guys that have overalls over 90.

And this thread has almost everyone over 80! A good supporting cast player is 65 in Live 04... And this includes such players like Fisher, Kaman etc. As the ratings will probably not change back, it should be as it is.

Anyway... Slava Medvedenko 59...

How about Kurt Thomas?

Are those Boykins ratings, how in the world does he get only a 66 FG, the guys is a very good shooter, his FG should be 75+, and his three point should be 70. We get to pick players ranges?
Is his FT 59?
What is a 10 rebound rating, that's jsut bad, at least 30.
I know Boykins isn't stong but 5 strength? The weak PG's have like 25, Boykins should get liek 15.

Anyways, Vince Carter - 89
Odom - 78

Caron Butler?

Thu May 20, 2004 6:05 am

I would like to go back to the old 50-99 system! It's much better and easier to set new rating with that system

66 is a good rating. I don't think he has the touch of a shooting guard though...and I think 75 would be up there. But it's a matter of opinion.

Yeah...I didn't have time to check his actual free throw percentage. I figured it might be near 80%...and a 59 rating translates to about .795 from the line.

Yes a 10 rebound is bad...and Boykins is a bad rebounder. He's 5'5" after all...and will never be able to fight anyone for position.

I know Boykins isn't stong but 5 strength? The weak PG's have like 25, Boykins should get liek 15.

He is very strong for his size...but the guy weighs 133 pounds! Allen Iverson outweighs him by 30 pounds. I gave him 5 points just because of his arm strength...but I considered giving him a 0 for strength. He'll never push anyone off the block...and he'll bounce off anyone he hits. I think the rating is very accurate there.

Thu May 20, 2004 11:06 am

Seriously, I think 89 is much too high for Vince.

Thu May 20, 2004 11:50 am

Anyways, Vince Carter - 89
Odom - 78
VC 89? Odom only 78?
Wait a sec...VC didn't make the playoffs and his body is still made out of pocelain. I'm Sorry VC is way too overrated. VC as good as Shaq was in Live 2004? That's just WRONG.
VC should be 85. And I'm being GENEROUS. It should be 78. Odom should be 85...

going back to topic..

Butler 61

Ben Wallace?

Thu May 20, 2004 6:34 pm

Wallace should be an 82....

Wat about...Rafer Alston (If done...Andrew BOgut)

I just did Odom right now, and he's at 80, he's very versatile but his rating just doesn't go that high. Like I said, Vince's rating goes high because of the jump and dunk rating, if those go down to let's say 75 a piece he's only like an 83 player. I don't think Vince not making the playoffs really has anything to do with his rating in the game.
I mean their are guys you make in the game that have a high rating because they can do a lot of things or are very atheletic but it sucks to use them and its better using a guy with a lower rating that isn't atheletic but can shoot better or do something like that better.
He (Carter) did average 22, 4.8 and 4.8, and he can block well for a swingman, and has decent handles, and one thing many people seem to neglect, he can shoot, he does have a career 38.6% from behind the arc and shot 38% this year.

Rafer Alston - 65

Fred Jones?

I think this system is a lot better.
It reflects how franchise players are so important to the team which is realistic to me.

Fred jones 54

Stackhouse (if already given Pietrus?)

Fri May 21, 2004 5:44 am

Fred Jones only 54 , he can drain the three now, good enough handles to play the 1, great hops, and very quick and fast, and can get steals.

Stackhouse - 78, maybe if the guy could rebound, shoot, steal and play defense his rating would be better.

Pietrus - 70

Speedy Claxton?

Fri May 21, 2004 11:38 am

Speedy-63

Jason Williams

If people like Alston is a 65 and Jwill is a 66 from the 04 model, I wonder what he is now? That's why I say some of you rating players too high.
