Must admit I stopped watching that one when it turned into a blowout. Same thing will probably happen with the game tomorrow.

Thunder vs Magic on ESPN HD @ 12pm tomorrow.
Will Perkins and co be available for this game?
Sat Feb 26, 2011 12:10 am
I'm guessing they will be.
This preview mentions them possibly being in the lineup tomorrow.

Foxtel has launched ESPN2, so hopefully that'll mean some more games or at least less scheduling conflicts. Doubleheader on ESPN this weekend with Bulls/Magic and Heat/Spurs, Magic/Heat and Nuggets/Jazz on One HD tomorrow.

Haven't been paying much attention for a week or so; I was in Melbourne last weekend and have been too busy catching up with other things to get around to watching any basketball. I'd imagine we'd get both games of the double-header from now on, though, or at least more often than not.
What irritates me is seeing live NBA on ESPN 3D. I want a 3D TV, dammit.

ONE HD is no longer a sports channel from the beginning of May. No word on whether they'll continue with their NBA coverage (not that I've really looked into it).
Thu Apr 07, 2011 5:11 pm
Where did you hear that?
Thu Apr 07, 2011 6:20 pm
That article wrote:Some sport would also continue to be shown on weekends.
Not a good sign. The NBA games that they've been showing have only been on Wednesdays and Fridays. That sucks a rather large one.
The article also wrote:In other programming news, Ten said The Bolt Report, to be hosted by newspaper columnist Andrew Bolt, would premiere on Sunday May 8 at 10am, with Meet the Press to follow.
OH. FUCKING. FUCK.
Thu Apr 07, 2011 8:03 pm
Lame.

It's funny that Murdoch is "very happy" with the performance of the 5 PM news as I'd heard that their decision to move to two and half hours of news from 5 PM had been a flop for Channel Ten in the ratings.

considering getting league pass for the playoffs, except its $100!
was hoping itd be cheaper...
*just realised the nba.com exchange rate works out to $15 more than XE.com!
Wonder what they charge... cos I'd almost pay $85...

On the off chance that ESPN Australia might be showing some classic NBA content during the lockout, I searched "NBA" in the online Foxtel guide. It currently lists the games from the opening week, which is kind of depressing to see knowing they're actually cancelled but it'd be awesome if they ended up showing some classic games during those timeslots. Seems like wishful thinking though, what with their library of scrabble tournaments and tractor pulling contests.
Notably, NBA Action is also in the listings. Now, that show has gone downhill since Jim Fagan left and they began focusing on two teams per week instead of covering a wider range of teams and games from the past week, not to mention it's far easier to check out highlights online these days. However, during the last lockout, when they brought back NBA Action for what should have been the start of the season they had a lot of classic content and highlight shows. If they do that again this time, for me that'd be half an hour worth catching every week.

In what will, I'm sure, come as a shock to many, One will not be televising any NBA in the foreseeable future:

Nice while it lasted.
Fri Nov 11, 2011 5:10 pm
In a year, we've gone from prime time NBA, live NBA and NBL, and NBA Classic games, to NBL at 2AM and nothing else.
Fuck Murdoch. Seriously.
Fri Nov 11, 2011 10:54 pm
Don't forget we use to have 2-3 college bball games too & full March Madness coverage
I don't even turn it to One ever now. Not that I really turn on TV anyways, unless it's to play PS3.
Murdoch can go fiddle with one of his horses for all I care.
It would be good if One gave back NBL rights to Foxtel for free just so games could be shown live again for anybody who is interested.
Sat Nov 12, 2011 1:13 am
Apparently there are issues as to what can be shown in terms of classic NBA games during the lockout, as I was hoping there'd be some old NBA content on Foxtel (so far, no luck). But not renewing the NBA deal for future seasons, pushing back the NBL games again...ridiculous.

Christmas Day games will be shown on ESPN Australia (on Boxing Day our time, of course). All times are Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time:

Monday December 26th @ 9:00 AM: Bulls vs Lakers on ESPN (replay at 6:00 PM on ESPN)
Monday December 26th @ 12:00 PM: Magic vs Thunder on ESPN2 (replay at 8:00 PM on ESPN)
Monday December 26th @ 2:30 PM: Clippers vs Warriors on ESPN2 (replay at 10:00 PM on ESPN)
And then:
Thursday December 29th @ 12:00 PM: Thunder vs Grizzlies on ESPN (replay at 9:30 PM on ESPN)
Saturday December 31st @ 2:30 PM: Bulls vs Clippers on ESPN (replay at 8:30 PM on ESPN)
Wed Dec 21, 2011 1:29 am
Nice lineup. 2 Bulls game in the first week is always excellent. 2 very entertaining Bulls games in the first week is doubly brilliant.
It's a shame i'm busy on Boxing Day. Could quite happily sit in front of the TV for 10 hours of NBA games.
