The Croatian Senesation was a GREAT player, he could score, pass, rebound but in a team where Jordan is SG and Pippen is SF, he came off the bench but was an excellent sixth man to have and could easily start if called upon.
You're definetly right about Kukoc!
My team would consist of:
Krik Hinrich & Shannon Brown (backcourt)
Lamar Odom & Serge Ibaka (frontcourt)
Marc Gasol (Center) [tough choice not to chose Chris Kaman]
Jason Terry (6th man) [ok I cheated but I couldn't decide which guard I should not mention

I remember back in NBA 2k9 I tried so desperately to acquire Acie Law because I thought he was going to blow up and become a quality starting point guard.

Also loved Carlos Delfino during his time as a Raptor. I think he would have played a lot better if there weren't so many mediocre wings stockpiled on that team during that season.

You're not alone there.
Though for me it was in fantasy league.

Me too. It's still possible. He's never been given the minutes to show what he's capable of. He's been a great backup point guard in my Domination franchise, and I believe I had him in my first story too.

It's a long shot and I don't see it happening, honestly. PG talent pool in the league is really deep and Acie is, what, 27?
Look how many teams he's played for in his short career. He's pretty much being treated like a shit bomb that everybody wants to toss to somebody else.

Jason Terry, Stephen Curry, Lamar Odom and Hedo Turkoglu.

Can anyone explain the Redick love to me? What am i not seeing with him? I didnt see much in college, and i dont see much now.
My list is mostly players i liked in video games:
Matt Geiger
Sean Elliot
Muggsy
PJ Brown
Kendall Gill
As far as i can tell no all star appearances yes?

Joakim Noah, his energy is just great. Also Brian Cardinal, all he does is the dirty work.

He's just one of their favourite role players. Not that he's anything special but I'd say his shooting ability is an asset to the team. It'd be nice to see him stepping up his playoffs performance though. That oughta raise his value if he's able to pull a couple big shots.

I think the Redick love is basically the same as the Korver love. Duke is also my favourite college team, so I like him for that reason as well.

To be precise, he's a white kid with common characters and personality that you can easily relate to, at least for some of us that live in Canada and Australia. And that is rare these days in the NBA.

He's a shooting guard who gives you efficient shooting and solid defense - a.k.a. both things you want out of a 2 guard. Kyle Korver... lots of Ashton Kutcher fans here?

Lord, this racism is killin me inside.

Seriously? White players are liked because they're "easier to relate to?"

Also adding to my list:
Stromile Swift
Luther Head
Dee Brown (the Illini one that plays in Europe now)
Channing Frye (overpaid but i like him)
Mike Bibby

Relax. It was just a vibe I was getting on Redick or Korver's fans anyways. Not that it's wrong, but didn't The X mention before that he tends to bandwagon lots of white guys because he could relate to lack of athleticism and lower middle class upbringing? I don't see it's too much different from Chinese rooting for Yao or Yi despite their lack of interests in the sport.
Sun Oct 09, 2011 12:02 pm
I know there are cetain Redick fans who enjoy the fact that he was an absolute garbage tier player in his rookie season despite being incredibly hyped before the draft and then worked really hard throughout the years to become a solid role player who plays within his limits.
That and he's white. I guess....
Sun Oct 09, 2011 12:46 pm
The whole relating to white players is due to their games not being completely reliant on their athleticism. You look across my whole list & I just prefer watching guys like that. I can't relate to James White or Demar Derozan, but I can relate to the style of play of the likes of Redick, Korver, Scola, Dudley & Afflalo.
Admittedly I must admit I've been fans of guys like Cedric Ceballos, Eddie Jones, etc who were very good athletes but I didn't include them here since they've been All-Stars before & are not current players.
Finally it must be said that I don't like guys like Scalabrine, Bonner etc so I'm now a racist & bigot (against gingers).

Nationalism or patriotism? You canadiens should learn more about it.
We all know NovU is an idiot. Now we can add 'racist' to that.

Is it racism if no one truly likes them?
trololol

No we don't and can't.
We're simply talking about favourite players. I wouldn't go as far as calling people racists but bias or stereotyping due to different background, which we all have when it comes to basketball.

Fixed. I hoped Shadow would do that but no.

I need to add Earl Boykins for obvious reasons!
And Rudy Fernandez. I think he is going to be great for the Mavs.

I change my vote from Toni Kukoc to ShadowGrin. He doesn't contribute but what would NLSC be without him?
Tue Oct 11, 2011 2:55 am
Kyle Korver, Dorell Wright, Joel Anthony, Udonis Haslem, Anthony Randolph, Luol Deng, Tyrus Thomas, Sam Dalembert.
