Articles like that are pretty funny to look back on.

Nice job building the atmosphere with the real articles from back in the day. I'm assuming you're going to let the season play out as it happens though, rather than recreating it exactly with MJ's knee injury, etc?

May I ask why did you decide to use Live? For nostalgia sake?

Well, when the season starts, I'll be taking over as writer, sure. Because the long odds quest of a hundred year old underdog doesn't completely fulfill me, he will still have his knee injury to deal with on top of the age thing.

I might have him agree to sit out earlier like everyone was telling him to do. Either way, if the Wizards make the playoffs, I'm sure he'd try to play on it one last time...

I bought a couple of the newer editions of Live and they didn't do it for me. I prefer the greater emphasis on defense that 2000 has.

I also do like the nostalgia of it, it's kinda perfect for this dynasty. Old school, the first game Jordan was in, etc.

For fun I went to Youtube and looked at NBA 2k11, the computer playing itself. Was totally shocked at how the AI hadn't gotten all that much better in a decade.

Nope.

Startin on the 30th. This is just backround and setting the stage for people into that kind of thing. Understandable if it's not yours.

I know this segment of his career is not everyone's cup of tea, and I do feel like the only person on earth fascinated with it. But back then when it was all unfolding, the story was friggin huge.

Thanks. I might need some assistance in trying to fancify my presentation when it gets going.

And hey, have you or anyone else ever screwed around with a schedule DBF file before? The 01-02 season ends on April 17th, instead of April 19th like it did in the schedule the game came with. It keeps adding the games on the 19th to MY schedule. Doesn't change my DBF though.

I switched the settings to use a "Random" schedule and not NBA, since I tested randoms and they don't end on the same day. It STILL added the freakin 19th's to mine again. Weird.

Man, I had spent hours and hours going through that file and correcting my mistakes. Did something stupid, hadn't saved a backup yet, all that work down the toilet and needing to be redone again. I feel like cryin a river.
