LeBron set a new franchise record in scoring with 47 points in his Memphis debut. In just his fourth game, he broke it by scoring 48 against the Mavericks, being absolutely on fire with 20-24 shooting from the field.
After 2 mediocre games, both losses, he's averaging 35.5 point and the Grizzlies stand at 2-2.
LeBron picked up the Player of the Week in the West while Dwyane Wade did so in the East.

LeBron is averaging 38/8/8 with 3 steals on 55% shooting when simming in My Player. He had a string of 8 40-point games including a 66-point game all with the Heat. Let's see if that will happen here, because LeBron just keeps improving. Those 6.0 turnovers are killing him though.

Just great stats from LeBron. Too bad you traded him away.
Mon Aug 29, 2011 10:52 pm
azid, i have no regrets. He's by far the best player to control in 2K11, I know.
Mon Aug 29, 2011 10:57 pm
Well, atleast, you got some young piece from that trade. Goodluck with this.

Heh, so you really did deal him. Pretty cool. Sure makes some interesting drama. Especially with the team winning the title and all.
That takes some serious stones. I could see Riley doin it though.

Trading LeBron is out of the question.
I love how things change.

Yup, I didn't want to start off by trading him, plus I was hoping he won't suck IRL. But as he proved, he does suck so I'll continue without the statwhoring, narcissistic bastard.
Wed Aug 31, 2011 4:12 am
Well, he's going to be even more of a statwhore. In just a couple weeks he's broken the Memphis scoring record twice. He'll just go on breaking every record possible.

Yup, probably 1 point at a time. :D

Wow, tremendously efficient shooting from Lai and Wade, 15 assists from Stuckey!

Huge run by the Pistons in the fourth, must be a relief to have won after blowing that 25-point lead.

For the moment there the Heat were about to choke like LeBron.

Three steals and four blocks? Not mediocre. His offense and rebounding were below par though.
Crazy shooting for Wade and Leo Lai!

Much like badreligionau, I would like to reserve the 1000th post.

Although for him it was 50 pages.

As Axel said, must be a relief. But good win anyway, great game from Flash.

LeBron picked up his 2nd straight Player of the Week award after another dominating performance individually. He had 11 of those last season with the Heat, if he's healthy and the Grizzlies have a decent record, he might sweep the weekly rewards out west.

After 6 games, LeBron has 4 40+ point games. Despite his excellence, the Grizzlies have started 3-3. LeBron would need to do even more to keep his team in the Playoff race.

LeBron and Wade are battling for the highest PER in the league, both are beasting it with over 36. Wade has been very efficient shooting the ball with a league-high .769 true shooting percentage.

Lebron is already starting to slip away from Wade in the scoring race, though Wade has the Heat standing undefeated, so he will have the last laugh.

The Heat rookies are doing well, with spark plug Jimmer Fredette standing 2nd in scoring behind rookie phenom Perry Jones of the Nuggets. Kyrie Irving is fourth in scoring with just 9 per game, but tops the list in assists and steals.

The Nuggets gambled quite a lot during the Draft, by swapping Ty Lawson and Nene for the fourth pick after trading Carmelo Anthony. Perry Jones from Baylor has proved he was worth it. In 5 games, he already has 3 double-doubles and has come very close in the other 2 games. So the Nuggets may have found themselves a new Carmelo. Whether the rookie can lead them to the Playoffs in his first season like Carmelo did, remains to be seen.

Not much early signings going on, perhaps the most notable is Luc Mbah a Moute signing with the Dallas Mavericks. The fact that the defensive stopper was not picked up earlier is a surprise and with 2M a year, he can be considered quite a bargain for the Mavericks, who are chasing for a championship.

Leo Lai has proved he can be a good all-around player, though he has been inconsistent so far scoring the rock. After a 25-point outing against the Heat, when he shot 7-8 from deep, he has reached double figures just once and has scored 2 points or less on 3 occasions. However, with 3 double-digit rebounding games and averaging the most assists for his team, Jerry Sloan (yep, he's the new head coach) has a very talented young guard. Still a sixth man, he could make the jump to the starting line-up sooner rather then later.

Tirieux will have to wait quite a bit for his starting spot, as Deron Williams has started negotiating a contract extension with the Nets, but he's making the most of his opportunities. He's constantly getting over 20 minutes a night, also playing off the ball and with decent numbers across the board, the Nets will have to hope Tirieux doesn't want a bigger role on another team.

Sit was talked about a lot during draft day, specifically his decision not to go to College in the US, but instead working with a personal trainer in California. It has been shown that Sit has not benefited from his long playing pause on a professional level, as he has scored just 14 points in 5 games. The Suns will have to wait a little bit on that. However, he's in great shape physically as he had no problems coming in and playing close to 40 minutes a night and he has put up impressive rebounding numbers for someone just 6 feet tall.

Superb
I started slowly but I'm now getting used to the Nets!

LeBron is only rated 3rd overall? Who's 1 & 2? I'm guessing Wade and Kobe.
Sat Sep 17, 2011 9:25 pm
Yup, it's Wade, Kobe and LeBron in that order.
