DENVER-Cleveland ended the 1st quarter on an 8-4 run, but Denver only trailed 25-24. Carmelo scored 9 pts in the 1st quarter to lead Denver. Lebron and Boozer had 5 pts apiece for the Cavs. Denver shot 48% in the quarter, while the Cavs shot 43%.
At the half, the Nuggets trailed by 6. The score was 57-51. Cleveland shot 64% in the 2nd quarter, and forced Denver to shoot 43%. Carmelo led Denver in scoring with 18 pts. James led hte Cavs in scoring with 13 pts. Ilgauskas scored 10 pts on 5-5 shooting and grabbed 8 rebs.
Dajuan Wagner hit a 3 with 10 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter to give the Cavs a 89-86 lead over Denver. The Nuggets couldn't get a shot off at the end of hte quarter. Carmelo led all scorers with 26 pts. Boykins and Joe Johnson had 11 pts apiece for Denver. Stoudemire had 10 pts and 8 rebs. Lebron scored 17 pts for the Cavs through 3 quarters. Ilgauskas had 16 pts and 9 rebs. Wagner and Nailon had 12 pts apiece off the bench for the Cavs. McInnis had 10 pts and 5 asts.
Joe Johnson hit a lay-up with 51 seconds left in the game to give Denver a 2 point advantage. Ilgauskas on the other end missed a jump hook and Miller hit a base line jumper shot on Denver's end to give them a 4 point advantage with 31 seconds left. After that, the Nuggets stopped the Cavs on the next possession and ended up with the 121-116 victory.
The Player of the Game was Carmelo Anthony who had 39 pts and 4 rebs. Joe Johnson finished with 16 pts in the game. Andre Miller scored 14 pts on 4-6 shooting and dished out 4 asts. Stoudemire recorded another double double with 14 pts, 13 rebs and 4 blks. Boykins scored 11 pst and dished out 6 asts off the bench.
The Cavaliers had 6 players in double figures with Ilgauskas leading the way with 24 pts and 13 rebs. Lebron James scored 23 pts. McInnis had 13 pts, 8 rebs and 8 asts in a losing effort. Eric Williams had 14 pts, 4 asts and 4 rebs for Cleveland. Wagner and Nailon both had 12 pts apiece off the bench for the Cavs.
Denver bench outscored the Cavs bench 34-33. Denver only shot 45% in the game, while Cleveland shot 54%. The difference maker was when Denver outscored Cleveland 35-27 and shot 55% to Cleveland's 43%.

We enjoy playing each other and it's just a fun game when its close and you going up against your best friend. I hope we can continue our winning ways and we are playing some of the best basketball as of late. This was a great win for us."
