Definitely. While the Orton-Christian feud was going on for too long, Punk-Cena was somehow diverted somewhere else. I had that feeling when Vince was "fired."

Not happy with the finish, really hoping that Cena become a heel.

I think they willhave a fatal four way match with Rey,ADR,Cena and Punk. Because the three have the rights for a rematch.

I also think the outcome just protected both Cena and Punk's characters.

Orton vs Henry could be interesting. Henry is supposed to be retiring iirc and is over right now, so something interesting could happen there.

I love me some jackknife, but overbooked is right. Maybe Nash is the GM? I dunno.

 Wow.

What about Mistico? I've read somewhere that the Sin Cara that appeared on Smackdown was a different guy (with a different moveset too, no leg scissors)

That Tough Enough winner got suspended too I guess.

It could end up being a Doink the Clown-type situation with the Sin Cara character. Fortunately he's got HHH's support but another Wellness Violation and who knows.

So...Cena's in the title picture and Punk is back in the midcard.

Okay so that ruins it. I'll switch back to Smackdown. They just blew up the brilliant angle they started with Punk.

EDIT: Why was Cena seeking for the rematch when it was Punk who was the one who recently lost the title?

EDIT2: Punk is face again, at least.

Punk is probably too over to fade back into the midcard completely, a high profile feud with HHH should keep him in the main event picture and within reach of the title. Cena in the title picture is beyond stale, I'm still not high on ADR because I feel Ted Dibiase Sr did the character so much better all those years ago and his push has felt really forced (kind of like Sheamus' first reign) but he is at least a new name with the belt. Maybe they can make it work but they blew through the stuff with Punk way too fast and it does seem like it was done to set up another run of the mill Cena vs Heel for the title angle.

This, too. The title rematch rules seem to be 'Cena gets one'.

Andrew wrote:a high profile feud with HHH should keep him in the main event picture and within reach of the title.

Except that he appears to be feuding with Kevin Nash.

Cena in the title picture is beyond stale

No kidding. The Punk/Nash promo sounds brilliant, John Morrison was in a falls count anywhere match which has highspot potential, and Cena's closing promo was apparently quite good, but beyond that I'm honestly not sure I even want to watch the show tomorrow. And I gave up on TNA last week. They both got good at the same time (Destination X, Money in the Bank a week later), and now they've both got terrible at the same time. I want at least one wrestling show to watch, dammit.

I'm still not high on ADR because I feel Ted Dibiase Sr did the character so much better all those years ago

Is it really the same character? It's more JBL than Ted DiBiase.

He's feuding with Nash for now, but my guess is that it will be revealed that Nash and HHH are on the same page and ultimately he'll be feuding with HHH. That's a high profile angle for him to be in, so all isn't lost for Punk. Not really the direction I would've liked to see them go in just yet but not necessarily doom and gloom for his push. I hope.

ADR is certainly similar to JBL but I always felt the JBL character had its roots in the Million Dollar Man gimmick anyway, which I feel remains superior to both. Either way I feel it's treading familiar ground without bringing that much new to the table and that his push has felt forced. ADR is definitely a far superior worker to JBL but I guess I just don't find him that interesting. Kind of a common problem with the programming at the moment.

It feels premature to have it that way. They could have Punk dispute with Cena's clause while Nash/HHH gets in the way and not this "Cena gets one AGAIN" type of angle. Like Andrew said, it's getting stale. A Mysterio-ADR feud for the title seems more logical at this point given their title match on Raw.

did anyone else feel like Cena was actually "human" in his two PPV matches with Punk? The Superman antics were kept mostly at bay nvm the awesome reversals of Cena's shoulder blocks. First time I can remember him yelling out "TAP TAP" when he had the STFU on Punk on Sunday too.

Because Punk is the best wrestler in the world, perhaps.

Against Punk, maybe they toned it down. Against Swagger on the Raw before SS, not too much I guess. (random: you can hear him say "one more" when he hit the first flying shoulder block to Swagger)

I haven't actually seen either match yet but if that's the case then they're doing something right with the booking. Cena isn't a bad a worker, he may not be a Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels but he's far from being a Great Khali and he is capable of doing his part in a great match. The Superman comebacks are repetitive, predictable and phony however, but that comes down to the booking rather than his in-ring capabilities. Tone that down, tweak his character and get him out of the title scene for a while and I'd say there isn't too much of a problem with Cena and the way he's booked. Until then, though...

just caught up with SS and raw. i do agree with the "human" comments about cena, there have been a lot of reversals for the predictable moves. christian has come up with a lot of good reversals in his numerous battles with orton as well. at SS christian & orton had a lot of great spots and a few table/steps spots i have never seen before (Y) but the punk/cena match didnt live up to the mitb awesomeness. nash was a bit of a surprise and loved to see the jackknife back in action. loved the truth/jimmy hart/ron artest segment. that was freakin hilarious.

on raw, many segments including the punk/nash promo had a very old-school feel to it, which i enjoyed. they even had the security come out, although i expected punk to break through and attack nash or give a security guard a stunner or something 90's-like. thankfully they gave truth some entrance music. walking out in silence was just a bit too weird for me. lol @ armstrong counting out truth when he fell outside. and also swagger failing twice on the gutwrench powerbomb. and kofi slipped on the top rope but mcgillicuty with a nice save. didnt like the ending and the cena promo. it's yet another stale storyline. but i feel adr will get his run and keep the belt through their tour of mexico. i am a big fan of his, and while jbl was more annoying and "oh i can buy everything with all this money", adr is more about his destiny and blah blah but has the skills to back it up.

WWE Registers Trademarks For "Future Endeavored"

You'd think those terms were too general to trademark.
