PSG and Malaga Champions League final within the next 5 years imo
Wed Aug 03, 2011 7:36 pm
PSG are collecting good talent, but I am pretty sure their main objective would be to win their respective leagues.

PSG is a pretty nice Master League team now

Some ppl won't understand this dive. It has to do with a prior decision of the referee to give another Twente player (17yr old first time player) a second yellow card for something that wasn't a diving. He (Wisgerhof) wanted to show the referee what a real diving looks like.

Even if that's true, he is still a massive douche for doing it. A terrible example for the captain of the team to set.
Thu Aug 04, 2011 12:15 pm
It's a terrible example for the team captain to support his teammate by mocking the injustice done against said teammate?
Thu Aug 04, 2011 1:37 pm
Yes.
If they feel the sending off was unjustified they can appeal his ban after the game and possibly have it rescinded.
Simulation is a shameful act which, done for whatever reason, is totally unacceptable behaviour and should be punished.

Ever played and felt in the heat of the moment because you were fucked up unfairly? Possibly that.

True but no one expected him not to get punished with what he did, even himself and the other team probably. He did that to prove a point that the refs are douchebags. You can't prove a point when the match is over. It's not like the team captain started a fight or something to call him a massive douche and setting a bad example for backing up his sent off teammate.

Simulation is so..so wrong but get the point that the Referees have 22 players to look out, and one ball. Also, the side referees never do shit.

And of course, Arsenal draws the hardest team (on paper) available: Udinese. At least they don't have Alexis Sanchez anymore.

Yuri Zhirkov to Anzhi? Thats ...
Also, whats up with the Sneijder drama.

Yes, but I wouldn't resort to that kind of action to make a point. It's not worth looking like an idiot.

Sure you can. They can mention it if they get interviewed after the game. Plus the referees get assessed every game, so if they have a bad one they are demoted to a lower league for a few games. If they are douchebags they will get punished by the league.

They are owned by some Russian billionaire. They've already brought Dzsudzsak in from PSV this season and have Roberto Carlos as their captain.
5 days to go before the EPL kicks off.

But you're not him (the captain who dived). He might have thought that it's worth looking like an idiot for his teammate.

Huge upset by Guatemala in the U-20 World Cup against Croatia two days ago! Late in saying this, but just putting it out there. My father was happy.
They will be crushed by Portugal in the second round. They've already lost 5-0 and 6-0 in the first two games.

Samuel Eto'o is apparently close to signing for Anzhi for €35 million. With wages of €20 million per season.
Inter freeing up money to buy Tevez maybe?

So £22M spent on him and Gervinho, but nothing on fixing the defense yet?
Maybe he'll use the money from selling Fabregas and Nasri to do that.
Thu Aug 11, 2011 12:33 pm
Yeah. Hopefully Mertesacker
Looks like both Cesc and Samir are out. That really blows. Given all the media frenzy, I guess I was ok with one of them leaving, but not both...

The Sun wrote:A FED up Arsenal fan has used Eminem's famous song 'Stan' to mock Arsene Wenger's transfer policy.Lifelong supporter and blogger Gunnerblog changed the lyrics to the hit, which reached No1 in the UK back in 2000, to launch a hilarious dig at the French tactician.
In the parody, 'Stan' is no longer a crazed Eminem obsessive but Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke voicing his concerns at Wenger's lack of summer signings.
He tells Wenger money is available for new recruits, saying: "I sent transfer funds to spend this Autumn you must not have got them.
"There probably was a problem with my web banking or something, I hope I didn't mistakenly send them to Tottenham..."
"Sometimes you get it right, like you did with Alex Song, but there are so many examples when your gambles just go wrong. Like when you bought that German kid, or was he Portuguese? You know the guy -- Amaury Bischoff, the one with no knees"
"Dear Stan: I meant to write you sooner, but I've just been busy. Gervinho had a freak out 'cause the rain made his hair frizzy."

Is he afraid of spending money because then he won't have any excuse if he fails?
Latest I've read is that Arsenal are bidding for Scott Dann from Birmingham and we are bidding for Gary Cahill.

Enrique wasn't someone I was hoping we would sign, but I'm pretty excited about it now after reading some stats and seeing a few clips.
He seems pretty quick and a good dribbler and crosser. I guess I'll have to see him play to judge how good he is defensively though.
