Did you said anything bout Hope, hondo???

Well he had 6 goals and 9 assists on a mediocre season last year, so imagine what he'll do when he completes full preparation!! Last year he came at the start of August. On champions league he'll be just awesome! He started really well so far!

Man, you guys had failures lately... Riera, Jovanovic, Robbie Keane...

All because of the two %@^%#^#&^&# owners we had at the time, we had to settle for second or third choice transfer targets because of no money.

Riera was bought because the owners wouldn't give up money for David Silva, who Rafa wanted. Simple as that.
We had the chance to sign Dani Alves for just £8m (link), but the stupid stingy owners wouldn't give Rafa the money. 2 years later he signed for Barcelona for £30m.
Keane was alleged signed by Rick Parry without Rafa's support. He sucked and Tottenham paid us £16m to take him back 6 months later.
Jovanovic was signed by Rafa before he left and Roy didn't play him. Not sure if it was because Jova was crap or just because Roy was incompotent.

Last time I checked we had 18 league titles and 5 european cups. Hows Arsenal doing lately?
The last trophy we won was the FA Cup in 2006. Arsenal haven't won anything since that time so I wouldn't be gloating about anything.
In the last 6 years all Arsenal have won is 1 FA Cup. Liverpool have won an FA Cup and a Champions League final in the same period.

With the new owners now we are spending money again. We may not be signing 'big name' stars atm, but that's just because we aren't in europe.
The reason we've signed Downing, Adam and Henderson is simple. To feed Andy Carroll lots of crosses and passes and help utilize his height advantage.
Last season all three were in the top 10 for creating scoring opportunities. Henderson and Downing had 78 (=3rd) and Adam had 64 (9th).
They were above guys like Modric and Fabregas.

He was pretty inconsistent at Liverpool. He did some great things though. I remember a goal against Aston Villa from Reina's quick kick. (Y)

My Google-fu tells me we haven't won anything since 2005 (FA Cup), so, even worse. (N)

In the last 6 years we have 1 FA Cup, 2 Carling Cup Finals and 1 Champions League Final...

then 4th in 2011 (Liverpool: 6th), 3rd in 2010 (Liverpool: 7th), 4th in 2009 (Liverpool: 2nd, 14 points ahead)...

so I guess both teams are kind of even.
:)

Yeah, I guess we shouldn't be arguing about who is better considering we're both going through rough patches.

Suarez scores both goals as Uruguay beat Peru to reach the final of the Copa America. Image

Vidal to Juventus is official now? Real Madrid also got Lens' Varane. If Zidane recommends a player, you go and buy him, no questions asked. :bowdown2:

If you were a Gooner you'd know it was a friendly and normal for teams to play a lot of their reserves/youth players during them.
