I second that. I thought that living in the dorms would mean there would be something going on EVERY NIGHT, especially on weekends. I didn't know that my school is a commuter school so a lot of people went home on weekends. Still, there were many weekend nights when a few of us were bored as shit and had nothing to do.

Every single one of those matchups can be answered with one answer...

Michael Jeffrey Jordan. End of story

4. Brian Scalabrine. Funny guy.

5. Joakim Noah. Healthier than Andrew Bynum. Also Joakim has a NCAA championship.

LaMarcus is allergic to contact. He's too soft. Love's stat padding beats him any way.
Joakim Noah is better than him because he's healthy and he won an NCAA championship?!
You're saying that Ty Lawson is better than Chris Paul? How more stupid can you be? Bynum actually has an offensive game compared to Noah and he's a better all round centre.

Nobody said Ty Lawson is better than Chris Paul.

Cp3 is actually way better than ty so there would be no comparison

Except this Ty thing, YES.

I'd start calling this dude Princess Leia instead of LeChoke, King James or else. ;)

Btt: Bynum - if heathy - is better than Noah.
One more comparison that bothers for a while: Reggie Miller in his prime vs. Ray Allen (in his prime)...

Re: The "who's better?" thread

Kobe Bryant vs. Dwyane Wade.
Who is better? Even though it is Kobe God Bryant, Dwyane has given him a good challenge the past couple years.

Chris Bosh vs Amare Stoudemire?
Melo vs Durant?

Re: The "who's better?" thread

Amar'e
Durant

Amar'e is more of a tough guy. Both - Amar'e and Bosh - could benefit from a more defesive mindset. ;)
Durant could not repeat what he did in 2009/10 but I expect more from him next season. In my opinion he has (a very little) more potential. But this is a close one...

Re: The "who's better?" thread

Currently, it's Wade over Bryant, Stoudemire over Bosh, and Durant over Anthony.

Wade is likely at the top of his game, Bryant is looking at a sharp decline next season. I'll be surprised to see him top 22 points per game.

Stoudemire over Bosh without question. Bosh is very soft (or a vagina according to the almighty shadowgrin. lol). Miami, without question, would have won the NBA finals had Stoudemire come to Miami instead of Bosh. I think he's grown into a better defender and an equal rebounder as Bosh. He is without question the better scorer.

Durant averaged around 28 points per game, while having another guy on his team scoring 22 and eating up a crap load of possessions. He also has a lot of other scorers on the team. Durant is a better defender and a better scorer at AGE 22. Carmelo is in his prime and nearing his peak (he's 27). I'd say they're about equal on the boards, although Carmelo did have better rebounding averages this season (you would too if Jared Jefferies and Ronny Turiaf were starting at the 5). I'd say Durant is the better player overall right now and he's probably the fifth best player in the league (behind LeBron, Wade, Bryant, and Howard). Anthony would just barely crack the top ten, if he made it at all.

Kinda disagree, You cant really leave Rose out of the picture.

Re: The "who's better?" thread

Tue Aug 02, 2011 6:10 am

Rose is a top 10 player. I'd put him at 7 or 8. I think you could make the case that Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Paul, maybe even Deron Williams (when healthy) are better. If Rose could shoot more efficiently, he'd be a top 5 player. Same goes for Westbrook, but Westbrook has a couple other quirks in his game that he needs to figure out.

Now, on the same topic:

Who's the best? (assuming they are fully healthy): Paul, Rose, Williams, Westbrook, Rondo. We could put them in order, or we could just say who the best is. That is my order.

(The first person to say "Rondo is the best, because he has a championship" or something resembling that, gets slapped.)

Re: The "who's better?" thread

I don't think there's a lot in it at the moment, I'd still have to put Paul first in that group though. Then probably Rose, Williams, Rondo, Westbrook.

I'll just wait till you go to college to post it because then you wont have time to slap me.

On topic:

I'd go the same order as andrew. Paul with no left knee is still the top PG in the game, Rose has really upped his game, I love deron since he's an illini and he's still a crazy scorer/passer. Rondo may not shoot that well but he does everything else amazingly well. Westbrook is still getting control of his skills (just watch the guy, he plays out of control 3/4 of the time).

Re: The "who's better?" thread

Wed Aug 03, 2011 6:52 pm

Despite playing the 1 I think Rose is not likely to be compared to a pass-first PGs like Paul or Rondo. Rose reminds me more of Wade (who played the 1 early in his career) or young Kobe (who did the same). He can throw really nice passes but I think Paul is the PG who has the better court vision. So if talking about point guards als playmakers I think it should be Paul>Rondo>Rose. Ask me which one I'd take as a GM I'd say Rondo>Rose>Paul.

Good thing you're not a GM.
I like how people are forgetting Deron Williams.

D-Will wasn't included in that question.
I'd put him behind Paul but in front of Rose. Despite his career high 12.8 asts D-Will does not play as good with the Nets as he did in Utah. He could surely benefit from better teammates.
And yes, I really like the way Rondo runs the Cs which makes him my personal favorite... I think it is not as terrible, as drafting Kwambe as a #1 or Chalk Morrison as a #4 pick. :?

Paul,Rondo, D-Will, Rose, Westbrook.

Like Oznogrd pretty much said about Rondo, the fact that he does have a ring, makes him pretty darn good. But Paul is over him. If D-Will had a ring, Im pretty sure that his and Rondos positions might change.
