WASHINGTON WIZARDS GET A NEW LOOK
The Washington Wizards held a press conference this morning to unveil a new logo and two new jerseys at the Verizon Center. They have not yet unveiled the jerseys at the Verizon Center, but the jerseys are alredy up on the newly designed team store. You can find them here. We'll bring you a few more pictures, including the red away jerseys, as soon as they become available form the press conference.
The jerseys are an obvious throwback to the old Bullets jerseys that had the stripes. But it has been updated a little bit and appears a little bit more streamlined and modern. We'll post the red away jersey as soon as it becomes available.
As promised, there are two new jerseys. A white home edition, and red jerseys that they will be wearing on the road. The whole color scheme is red white and blue, which makes them fit in with the Capitals and Mystics with which they share the building; and it certainly makes a lot more sense than the teal they used to wear.

CLIPPERS MAKE SOME TOUGH DECISIONS TO THEIR BENCH
The Los Angeles Clippers have decided to part ways with longtime Head Athletic Trainer Jasen Powell. Powell is the last piece still remaining from their last playoff run in 2006. With his contract expired, it was GM KidJustin's decision not to extend it because he felt that this is a new team now, a new organization, and improvements need to be made at every level. The Clippers have hired trainer Robin Conner, who has previously held assistant trainer jobs in both the NBA and the NFL.
KidJustin said, "I don't want to believe in curses, but this organization has just had bad luck with injuries. We just needed to go another direction in dealing with the conditioning of our players as well as treating injuries. I wish Jasen the best and I know Robin will be great for us moving forward."
The Clippers have also chosen against extending Gary Green as their NBA scout and hired Jerome Burnes. Robert Hall, one of the prospect scouts was also not extended. New hires, Blake Sheridan and Bryon Nixon will join early season hire Ruben Shepard as the team's prospect scouts.
Other major staffing changes around the NBA:
Grizzlies: Jordan Wagner interm tag lifted, new Head Coach
Jazz: Decide it is Sloan's time, hire new Head Coach Lewis Battle
Kings: Lose Interm Battle to Jazz, hire Edmund Rodgers as new Head Coach
Nuggets: George Karl available after Nuggets hire Kevin Sampson
Raptors: Brad Anderson given big responsibilities as new Head Coach
Rockets: Do not extend Adelman, hire Nathan Delk
Timberwolves: KAHHHHHNNNNNN makes big move, hire legendary ex-Jazz coach Jerry Sloan

RICKY RUBIO COMING TO AMERICA...FINALLY
Ricky Rubio is coming to Minnesota after all.
The Spanish point guard has agreed to join the Timberwolves next season, ending a drawn-out, delicate, two-year negotiation with the team that had many league observers believing he did not want to play in Minnesota.
A person with knowledge of the agreement confirmed to The Associated Press Wednesday night that Rubio will be in Minnesota next season, giving the woebegone Timberwolves a much-needed dose of good news.
