Besides the point. And you're interpreting what I wrote in a wrong way. I'm not knocking religion, I'm simply saying a scientist wouldn't take scripture as proof, or fact. It's a tool for developing moral ethics and provoking thought, nothing more.

Religion and science obviously can co-exist, there is no proof God doesn't exist, and probably won't ever be, so why couldn't it?

I'm not saying Christians cannot be rational. But I'm saying if you quote The Bible as a fact, you're not being rational. I'm not even going to explain that one as it should be obvious.

And while many of the great minds of our time may be religious, I wouldn't compare them to devoted Christians or people that actually follow a large religion. I think it should be very clear by now that if there is a God, He is not a personal one.
