Re: Cavs : [34-13]{Game Recap, Playoff, Personal.

Wed Jun 29, 2011 4:29 am

Sorry for the last two games, still got a lot to do ;)

Image

Nice team-game gets the Cavs the win, season series 2-0

Image

First Half: Like last time, the Cavaliers big-star Terrence Williams was booed, as he made his return to Houston. Joey Graham on the other hand wanted to show trading him was bad. Cavaliers won 110-105 last time facing them, so they had the same plan this time. It started off with both teams pretty even, but the Rockets holding a small lead. One of the leading scorers Kevin Martin started to fire up, but Clevelands defense was better. Yao Ming and Luis Scola were dominating the inside game. But as usual, the three-headed starting combo of Parker-Griffin-Williams was on fire, and with their help, they took the game to double-digits. Houston tried something in the end, but it still ended 60-52.

Second Half:
The duo of Martin-Yao started posting points right at the beginning, getting this game to four points. But Blake Griffin on the other hand was not missing any shot, and the shooting of T-Will and Parker did not do any good for the Rockets. Even then, the bench play of DeMar and Donte Greene add insult to injury. Somebody else needed to step up, and it was Luis Scola. Apparently, it was too late, he did get the game to a distance of 13, when it was 20, but on the other end, four-players finished with 20 points, as the game ended 122-95.

Seems nothing can stop Baron Davis

First Half: This is one of the most wanted match in here. You have the Blake-Show against the Re-Dirk-ulous one, two veteran point-guards in the starting position and two dangerous snipers on the wings, Anthony Parker and Jason Terry. Right from the start, it was an intense competition. But the stars of the team, Blake-Dirk, were pretty quiet. Both teams had to depend on their shooters from the wing. At some point, both of them got their game on a roll. Blake started dunking and Dirk was hitting his rainbow-shots. Cavaliers went on a run to get the game really far away, but the Dallas bench stepped up, and took a lead of their one. At the end of the half, T-Will was sent to the line to hit two free-throws, which ended it 54-54.

Second Half:
Like the first half, both teams were neck-and-neck. You could not say which team will win it. However, things were all tied up to the last minute. Cavaliers took the lead with T-Will dunking it. On the other end, Terry made a hard layup to tie it up. T-Will was sent to the line again to hit 1 from there. Things did not change on the other end, as Kidd tied it up, missing his free-throw as well. But then, things went even more crazy. Baron Davis wanted to dribble out the clock, but failed with it, making a shot-clock violation. On the other end, Dirk threw the ball to Terry, who found Kidd wide open, to take the lead. With four seconds left, everybody knew that Cavs main man was going to take the final shot. Kidd left Baron open from the three-point line, not to tie it up, rather to win it all. And so he did, as Mr. Big Shot once again prevailed, as they won 112-111. Check the video down below ;)

Month Recap

Wed Jun 29, 2011 4:49 am

With no injuries or signings to report, we start with some news !

Another East team qualifies, while a legend starts to pack his bags

Image

Our first news is rather good, as the Indiana Pacers made their playoff spot certain, being the third team out of the 16 to do that. Their main man, Danny Granger, has lead them to the playoffs, and with hoping to get that precious third spot against the sixth seed, they still have a lot of work, with the Bulls and the Boston Celtics being right behind them. Those two teams however have not made the playoffs, but have a 90% chance to do so.

Image

Sadly, we have to send another star out of the business. Steve Nash has announced his retirement, saying that his muscles are weakening and the younger need to take the game over. The two-time MVP told that he will cherish every moment that he has been in this league. " I will not forget about the past or the present, that I have been here, as it has been an experience, which I would not change for anything."

The man can still go out with a bang, as his team is in the chase of the playoff spot. With no team in the West securing theirs, we will still see how long will Nash play in this league.

So, Second work-week starting and its a bad one. Everybody went off to work, but I am at home right now, waiting for the landlord. He wants to show me some things about our next-weeks project. Im pretty stumped why I am the one waiting for him, considering that I did more work than my partner last week.
