Yes you need that.For example,the uniforms used in the three point shoot out come from this folder.

Indeed, don't delete that. Unless you're running low on disk space, there's really no advantage to removing any files.

I just want to remove some unnecessary files because its getting bigger by the way Andrew, does Fran Vasquez have a speechid in 08?

He probably does, though I can't recall it offhand.

Thanks guys. It seems that feedback and response to the rosters has really dropped off the last year or so, which I have to admit has had me wondering whether it's worth continuing the updates because it's a lot of work to put in to something that people aren't downloading. Hopefully that interest will remain and I can keep doing the updates for a while yet.

Exactly. He's still in the database though, for those who want to bring him in early by moving him out of TEAM 32.

Well, I can't set a date on the first offseason update because I've still got all the rookies to create, as well as the years pro and contracts to update, but I can say that I've updated the coaches, moved Shaq and McDyess to the retired pool (and brought Rubio back into the active rosters and onto the Timberwolves' roster) and made all the trades involving players who were in the league last season...so I'm ahead of last year where I was just too burned out on the rosters to do anything with them through the offseason.

Andrew, McDyess said he'll be retiring after the next season (2011-2012).

Got a source for that? I heard he was done this year, even though he was signed through 2012.

No official news regarding McDyess yet here in San Antonio.

Andrew, He's still in the lineup of Spurs sir and there's still no announcement for his retirement.

That article is from before last season and in fact mentions that he'll retire at the end of the 2010/2011 season. More recently:

As he stashed the last items from the locker in a travel bag, McDyess reflected on his two seasons in San Antonio, adamant he had made up his mind to retire and without regret for having chosen the Spurs over other teams that vied for his services in the summer of 2009.

“This was not at all how I wanted it to end, but signing here was one of the best things I did in my career,” he said. “I wouldn’t trade these two years for the world, one of the greatest times of my whole career. I just wish we would have gone farther.”

If he does end up coming back for the final year of his contract then it's no big deal for me to move him back to the active rosters. As of now though, it appears as though he's done.
