NBA Live 2005 Cover...Part 1

Postby Andrew on Wed Apr 28, 2004 6:05 pm

Hopefully we'll get another blacked out cover as a teaser this year, but until then, who do you think will/should be on the cover of NBA Live 2005?

I would of liked kobe but i guess lebron could be on it.
I just hope i wont have boris diaw or pietrus this year as in france we had tony parker which i like but to make the cover no...
He is so overrated in france btw (off topic, i know...)

is he?
His star shines brightly in the playoffs, as was the case during this whole season.

Kobe's image is not good enough at the moment, so he won't make it to the cover. LeBron and Carmelo would be great...

I don't think Kobe could appear on the cover regardless. Isn't he still under contract with Left Field to appear in the Kobe Bryant's NBA Courtside series?

darko on the cover? haha, yeah i'm sure. a guy plays like 4 minutes a game and gets on the cover of nba live? i don't think so...i think it's more likely for jar-jar binks to grace the cover.

i think it will probably be lebron james. though i would like to see one of these players:

peja stojakovic- why not show some international flair?

karl malone- the old man deserves it, assuming he doesn't opt out and retire at the end of this year

earl boykins- that little dude just makes me smile. lol

I'm thinking LeBron or Carmello. (Wasn't Melo already on March Madness's cover?)

Yeah I think Malone should be there. He'd probably have his head all shiny and have the ball at his side, and he should have a funny smirk on his face.

Or how about Amare Stoudemire going strong to the rim? (Rim cut out) (Should look something like this.)

Jason Kidd?

Or maybe some star point guard holding up fingers.

I believe he was. I think LeBron or Carmelo is a pretty good guess, I might make that my early pick too.

Jermaine O'neal? (I think that's a good guess)
Michael Redd? (His stock is on the rise)
I like the idea of Peja being on the cover, but somehow I don't see EA marketing him.

Jermaine O'Neal has been my guess for a few weeks. (Y) And i'll stick to it.

as a top 5 mvp candidate, that would make him the highest ranked player that hasn't already been on a cover of any other game before. (i dont think he has anyway) so thats my guess.

Good point there Null17.
But last year we saw a simular thing. That one with Yao and T-Mac.
So mayby it doesn't realy mean anything...

A guess at LeBron would be a decent assesment. Carmelo also.
It would be nice to have both of them, but I doubt that would work though.
But I also think that Jermaine O'Neal has the better edge though...

My Cousin works at EA canada and he said they are most likely using LeBron James or Ben Wallace

2 possibilities : Yao Ming for his value over the Asian market, or LeBon James because of the hype. even if carmelo just had a little better stats, LeBron will make it as he benefits much more from media coverage (did you already forget the rookie of the year award ?)
