Mavs4Life,Yup nice scoring player when Kobe is on the bench.

KidJustin, I don't have the CAP space to sign Young while Rip only wants the minimum contract.

Very good move, you have a nice experienced back-up for Kobe (Y)

Rip would be a nice compliment for Kobe. He adds another scoring option once Kobe hits the bench.

my team is pretty legit, though we might need to upgrade the backup SF

i want to be a starter....but i'm hoping the young backcourt backup for me an Lawson will be killer

Smith should just give up his spot and go for 6th man of the year haha

Justine., They really have a strong squad with the addition of Scola and Randolph.

shadowgrin, Glad you like it.

µTorrent, Kobe is the only great guard I have

Thierry •, Yup that's Big Ben, he won the DPOY last season.

KidJustin, There is no need to upgrade the SF spot, that Zach Taylor rookie is a pretty good scorer.

Damn,I have much competition in the SG spot in the Cavs, though I believe I'm going to find time as It's a rather weak team...

Great presentation. You have the best roster if you ask me. It's you and the Heat again. The Cats look horrible :D Denver could be interesting.

Not exactly the Los Angeles Lakers planned to start their season as the Houston Rockets stunned them in a 108-101 loss.

Rockets started on fire hitting their first 9 shots and outscoring the Lakers 32-20 to end the first quarter. Kevin Martin scored 17 points in that quarter and finished the game with 28 points. The Rockets finished the first half leading 58-41, they shot 65% while the Lakers only shot 42% ending the half.

The Lakers are determined to win the game as they started the third quarter with a 15-4 run, leading the way is their star Kobe Bryant. Bryant scored 15 points in the third to cut the Rockets lead to just 9 points entering the final quarter.

In the fourth quarter the Lakers tied the game thanks to their newly acquired player Rip Hamilton. Hamilton scored all of his 8 points in the fourth. The game was still tied but Ben Gordon hits a three pointer and the Rockets lead the game 102-101 with 1:40 left in the fourth.

Then all things went wrong for the Lakers as Pau Gasol got fouled out after committing a charged against Patrick Patterson and after Bryant intercepts the ball he tries a quick transition three pointer but misses badly with less than a minute left. The final blow was when Delonte West tries to take a charge but instead Martin nails an and one and that pretty much ended the game.

Goran Dragic had 19 points and 8 assists, Gordon had 12 points off the bench while Patterson had a good all around game with 12 points, 6 boards and 5 steals.

Gasol had a perfect shooting night (11-11) and finished with 24 points and 4 blocks. Lamar Odom had 13 points off the bench while Andrew Bynum had 10 points who only played limited minutes due to a bruised heel. Both team finished with a 50% shooting, the Rockets outrebound the Lakers 37-20.

I like this recap style. (Y) Easy to read, and detailed enough. Tough loss on the home opener but I'm not one who'd be mad over it. :D
