"The Custodian, Brian Cardinal,
doing the dirty work." - some commentator guy with Greg Anthony and C-Webb
NOOO!!! That's supposed to describe the greatness that is Joel Anthony when the world gets to recognize him finally, it's now been hijacked for Cardinal. I feel sad.

NBA.com question: Will the Heat win the title next year? I voted yes.

Agreed. It was only his 3rd season too. If there was one thing I'd complain would be him not being able to figure out rotation even till the last game of the season. But given how we had all different kind of players, it's understandable what he went through.
As for Chalmers, I am thinking there is going to be a team that will take him away from us. Shopping time for the Heat pretty much now. Need to find players who can consistently start now at 1 and 5.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:35 pm
Even NBA.com is dick riding the Heat.
Interview with Mark Cuban. I think he finally realized that he's a distraction to his team when he doesn't keep his mouth shut.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:35 pm
Only when Pat Riley comes back. Nah, honestly, right now you cannot even come close to predict a Heat title as they are too many good teams out there.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:37 pm
I thought he was OK, but he had his moments. To go form video coordinator to head coach is just crazy, dream story. He needs to learn a little bit, but in time, & with the talent he's got, he should be a great coach, escpecially if he stays in Miami.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:42 pm
Spoelstra can't take all the blame though. Missed free throws, careless turnovers (especially getting caught in the air) etc...that's not his doing. Win or lose, responsibility must be shared by the whole team.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:45 pm
Yeah, exactly. Especially the turnovers. They've gotta fix that.

As hov said, Dirk went to the locker room immediately after the game to cry. I guess LeBron did the same thing. My bad for assuming he did an 'Orlando' again.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:46 pm
Yeah, but Dirk was of happiness, while LeBron's was of "WTF happend".
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:48 pm
Congrats. Better team won.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:50 pm
What an awesome series! I'm so glad Dirk, Kidd and Marion finally got a ring. It's also fantastic to see a team with great role players prevail over a team with the two best players in the world.

LeBron congratulated both Dirk and Kidd before he left.

What?
Sauru wrote:if the heat never win i will be happy. what they did was bad for basketball imo so i hope they come up empty year after year
Yeah, I agree, teams that add two hall of fame players with no rings to an existing hall of famer and immediately run to the Finals suck.
badreligionau wrote:a team with the two best players in the world.
The Heat don't have Dwight Howard. Let alone Chris Paul.

My Top 3 Favorite Series
3.91' & 93' Finals
2. 2002 WCF
1. 2011 Finals
A really unique series. So many close games. So many runs. Future Hall Of Famers. This is gonna live in my mind forever. The Jet & Dirk officially became brothers with this ring. Win together, lose together.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:57 pm
So glad the Mavs won, much deserved. Finally a ring for Kidd and Nowtizki, that's just awesome.

these 2 are not related in any way shape or form. one tried to stack a team while the other made trades as a back up plan. at least compare apples to apples if you wanna try to down a team

I like my bias filter better.
LeBron = loser = to be hated
Much simpler.

The way he was talking about Brian Cardinal in the post game highlights, it's like he was describing the greatness that is Joel Anthony.

That was the outcome I'd like in what it basket been an exciting series! Mavs deserved it, their veterans did and Dan Gilbert can consider himself lucky for not being wrong from the very first season! Well Spoelstra might have done a better job than the one he taken credits for, but still believe that VDN would have do. e the same if in the same team as Spoelstra.

I am thinking or hoping Sauru was being sarcastic. His team the Celtics did it before the Heat when they added Allen and Garnett. I never thought it was bad for basketball as we know it's only a team sport so might and might not work out like the underdog DET beating stacked Lakers. I'd rather gave credits to Malone and Payton for their sacrifice for the chance at the ring. And nor did I hope for them to come up empty year after year.

Just a thought. Is Butler a new Adam Morrison?

It was the Pistons who were stacked.
The Lakers didn't even have a bench.

Sort of, except, if he was healthy, he would of problably been efficient.

stupid forum ate my original reply so the short version. celtics made trades as a back up plan since they got screwed in the draft. i assume it was not that long ago that people here can remember. the heat pretty much pulled a playground move by having all the good players wait for other good players just to play together. then the heat went and turned it into a fucking circus. no way was i being sarcastic these 2 team were build in a much different manner
Mon Jun 13, 2011 2:15 pm
Stop it Sauru, it's better when you just say "anything the Celtics do is right, other teams should be forbidden from being better than the Celtics."
Screwed in the draft.

Mark Cuban on SportsCenter: "Our fans just punked the shit out of Heat fans." Gotta love live TV.
