if the heat never win i will be happy. what they did was bad for basketball imo so i hope they come up empty year after year

The reason I liked Dallas more in this series had nothing to do with fake coughing, the decision, or any "hate". It was because they had a full team from top to bottom who was putting their bodies on the line for the better of the team. I mean, fucking brian cardinal played substantial minutes. Was an awesome series to watch and Dirk being one of my favorite players i'm glad to see him get a ring. Kidd, Terry, and Marion too for that matter. I want to give the MVP to JJ Barea though.
Exactly my thoughts.

What really confused me though is why Dirk ran straight to the locker room after winning.
He did that when the german national squad qualified for the Olympics in 2008. He cried in the locker room then. It's his greatest dream come true, so I guess he did the same.

It's great to see how he's finally finding his smile. Show us those big teeth!
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:08 pm
You're never fullly dressed without a smile (and a championship ring), & now Dirk has both. LOL Coach Spo "none of this really expected this" It's definetly a wonderful suprise. Such a great season....

I'm really happy Dallas won and dislike Miami.
The only thing though...is like I said, Miami wasn't firing on all cylinders at times through this season and they still made it to the finals. Next year and however long they keep those 3 together...that'll be scary.
Whatever, really good job Dallas. I'm real happy for Dirk.

I watched all 6 games. What Jet has done has been the biggest bench impact I've ever seen. Of course, without Dirk, nothing of this would be happening... it would be a Co-MVP for me

Yeah with The Mavs,Spurs, & Celtics aging, Miami, Chicago, & Maybe even New York are gonna put the East up big.

Why? What Finals were you watching?

Even Mahinmi got some burn and contributions!

You just dig his girlfriend.

This series was nothing less than exciting. I watched it in complete enjoyment because of that and the fact that there wasn't a single Laker in sight!

Congrats to Dirk, Kidd, Marion, Terry, etc. All veterans who were very deserving of a championship.
When Dirk went 1/12 in the first half, I thought he was living up to his past label as a 'choker', but great to see he shrugged it off in the fourth quarter to score the buckets when they counted most.
In the end, Dallas was the most deserving team, as they played like an actual team the entire playoffs, and had some of the most stunning comebacks I've ever witnessed. Congrats to the Dallas Mavericks.

Terry wasn't playing so great at the beginning of the series though. Dirk was big throughout, he scored ten in the fourth in Game 6 while hitting some daggers late. He's the MVP alone.
Incredible that people are even mentioning the notion that this isn't going to work out for the Heat, Jeff Van Gundy threw out the idea of trading LeBron, Wade or Bosh for Dwight Howard. Seriously? They just came within two wins of an NBA championship, come on.

i never though dirk was choking. most of those misses were in and out.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:16 pm
man theres always next year cuz all the "good" teams are gone or getting old and the heat will go againts all the "young team' and well dirk and marion deserves it the most and what can i say there always nex year
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:16 pm
Not bad for Corey Brewer. 4 months ago he was playing for Minnesota, now he has a ring.

He missed looks that he had hardly been given all series, wide open ones. But like I said, he came up big in the fourth quarter when it mattered most.

The great thing for me is that when someone starts going "Dirk is a choker", he can now finally say "kiss my ass".
He has won everything, regular season, regular season MVP, perennial All-Star, All NBA teams and now the title and Finals MVP. What do you wanna tell such a player? Now not only the cinamon role but also all the critics ain't got nothing on Dirk.

there is always next year for everyone else too. never know what will happen year to year, so hard just getting to the finals. maybe next year the heat should keep their mouths shut and stop claiming dynasty.
bosh played well but they never went to him. miami will be scary with a real coach

Agreed

I'm just happy that I got to watch the game without too much nuisance from Mark Jackson. The commentators voices were low compared to the game/court sounds in the broadcast here.
I'm not really that familiar with the trio of JVG, Breen, and 'that man' for obvious reasons mama! I thought Breen was the play-by-play guy and JVG and Action Jackson as the analyst. What the hell was Mark Jackson doing a play-by-play of the recent play/action before going to every commercial break?

Oooooh, benji? Now need for Dirk to be clutch. I'm scared for next season. Miami is gonna kill. Victory Park (where the AAC is) looks filled to the brim. Can't wait for the parade!
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:24 pm
yeah i agree they need spo out of south beach and lol ya corey brewer now has a ring and yeah bosh played good on the offense but on the d he was bad damn now i have to wait for another year or posibbly anothr 8 years

Next season? What next season? There's gonna be a lockout.
Mon Jun 13, 2011 1:26 pm
I had my doubts on Dirk as he seemed to be a shooting big who was bit soft on D, thinking it'd be hard to build a championship team around him. But he proved me wrong this year especially in hard fough Finals. The Mavericks were the better team. No doubt. And the teams they beat on the way to the Championship, it's amazing. I am sad the same could have been said on the Heat but this year belongs to the Mavericks.

All things considered, I thought Spoelstra did a pretty good job this year. It looked like he was going to get thrown under the bus early in the season but he wasn't shaken by it and he kept the team together. Ultimately the talent on the floor has to get the job done.

now i agree that miami can work but i would trade any one of the players for howard. wade is the one i would probably say "no deal" about but if you want james or bosh then its just "deal". no way orlando would do a trade for bosh straight up though and if you trade james you can probably get something thrown in.
