Pfft, you can still get those using a different game and splice them seamlessly in the YouTube video. :shifty:

Pau&Kobe almost killed you. 24 rebounds? Where's TD?

Nicely done overcoming the odds. (Y) Great to see TD shoot very efficiently. I understand your situation with Parker; I find that slashing point guards are useless in 2K11 because if you try to attack the rim the big men are always there to block it, and you also get sucked into contact animations which make your point guard miss the layups, ones that their RL counterpart always makes. Problem I always run into with AB in my association. Good thing AB is a deadly shooter, though.

Hope to see a Game 7 30-point blowout in favor of the Spurs. :mrgreen:

I knew you had finished the game and was working on your presentation. The half time tweet was successful at building suspense. Why would you post it if you end up losing? Nice comeback, btw.

How psyched were you when you tied it with that buzzer beater?

Yeah, I guess it has no point at all. Will try to add some pieces from free agency or perhaps a draft day deal with other guys.

Thanks X. Yeah, I was exploding in happiness :P They will be prepared.

Mavs4Life wrote:Hmm... you need a young PG like Chris Paul to take his place. or a better SF.

I must admit I tried the Trade Finder on George Hill and got some nice offers, but I'm not sure if I should deal him. He's the future. I also looked for some good SFs with low morale, try to deal for them.

TD was shooting pretty well, but Pau killed him on the glass. Tony was always blocked, yeah, but I also had plays to get him the open jumper and couldn't drain it either. Sucks (N)

Wow, you managed to get back and force a game 7, wicked! Gasol had a monster game but how about Maggette's highlights? Sick dunks, tough shots, he's like your X-factor.

That buzzer beater by Hill looked a bit like what Mario Chalmers did twice in the Finals so far. Loving this one, epic WCF :applaud:

Title dreams shattered: Lakers post last minute 8-0 run to clinch Western Conference over Spurs
Preview | Recap | Game Info | Full Play-by-Play | Boxscores (LAL :: SAS)

SAN ANTONIO, May 31 -- Corey Maggette may have lifted the San Antonio Spurs early, but down the stretch, Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol sent the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers back to the NBA Finals. Bryant made two baseline jumpers, finishing with a game-high 32 points, and Lamar Odom added a layup in only 27 seconds, while Gasol had two shots from the free throw line in the dying moments of the night as the Lakers survived with a 8-0 last-gasp run, to post a 96-93 victory over San Antonio in the deciding Game 7 of the West Finals. With the Spurs clinging to a 93-88 lead, Bryant was isolated against Manu Ginobili, who couldn't block Kobe's jumper; the Lakers' go-to guy then added another shot from the baseline, this time over Maggette. After the Argentinian missed a 3-pointer, Odom made the layup for a 94-93 lead. Gasol, who added 19 points and 13 rebounds for Los Angeles, was then fouled by Tim Duncan and hit the ensuing free throws to put the Lakers ahead and give them a third-consecutive Finals passport. Must be noted that all 8 points were assists from Ron Artest.

“Ron made unbelievable plays down the stretch... well, he's come up big for us in so many occasions this year,” coach Phil Jackson said. Artest posted seven points, four boards and five assists for the Lakers. “I love being in those situations, where the game is very close,” commented Artest. “I thrive in those kind of situations.” Ginobili missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer that would send the game to overtime; it earned Los Angeles a matchup with the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. “We have great respect for Miami,” said Derek Fisher, who scored a series-high 16 points. “They have taken the league by storm and everyone talks about it. We're the defending champs and not many people talk about that.” The Lakers made just 5-of-20 3-pointers (25 percent), shooting 45 percent from the field (36-of-80); but committed only five turnovers and outscored the Spurs in the paint, 30-26. “This shows our character, to fight through the bad times,” said Andrew Bynum. Odom was unavailable for comment; rumors point out he may be looking for a way out of the Lakers, after a feud with coach Jackson back in February. When Bynum went out for almost a month in the regular season with a knee injury, Jackson started Joe Smith instead of him and the relation between the two has never been the same again.

In contrast, San Antonio had three of six turnovers in the fourth period and shot only 3-of-14 from 3-point land (21 percent). Maggette scored 10 first-half points to pace the team, as the Lakers led 48-41 at halftime, but struggled for only two points in the second half. Ginobili led the Spurs with 27 points -- he shot a season-high 28 field goals, 2-of-11 from beyond the arc -- while Drew Gooden proved to be a big X-factor with 20 points and six rebounds, keeping his team in the contest: 8-of-10 from the charity stripe. “We had the lead in the fourth, but they had more hustle than us in the last couple of minutes,” said Gooden. “I don't think anybody expected us to get this far. We almost won this. We had a phenomenal season and look forward to bounce back next year. One of our last opportunities before the window closes for this team.” Duncan added 13 points and 14 boards; Tony Parker had 10 points with a game-best 11 assists. “I didn't think we got what we were looking for in the fourth,” said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “I'm extremely disappointed; not with the guys, but with the result. I mean, you fight all year to get this seventh game at home. Not be able to come through with a five-point lead in the last minute... It's going to be months of thinking about that.”

Gasol was absent in the first couple of games, but then in Game 5, 6, 7 was simply outstanding. I scored only two points in the second half with Maggs, he struggled; my defense in the last minute was awful.
