2011 NBA Finals: Mavs V. Heat, part deux

Gotta love JVG. With 3 minutes left, Haslem came in for Anthony and he said 'that's swapping defense for offense'. Sure Haslem can knock down that jumper, but Haslem isn't on the floor for those.

Anthony is pure defense. Maybe he was referring to this. Haslem is a good defender, but I see him as a hustle guy, who does not only defend pretty good, but does also rebound very well and can score.

But then it wouldn't be fair for the opponent and for the whole league if Joel actually tried on the offensive end.

Random 4th-tier posters keep calling me out for no apparent reason. I can understand Air Gordon but this seems awfully random.

That was really cheap. But what are the refs gonna do? The game is so fast sometimes, you can only guess if it was a foul or not. But shame on LeBron for acting like that. He sure doesn't need it.

And he's definitely no Barea when it comes to flopping. I know... I am only hating him for his gf...

Barea's pretty bad but the Heat's big three have had their moments, particularly LeBron towards the end of the first quarter. It's pretty much the standard in the league though, it's something that's long overdue for a cleanup. Ridiculous tech on Carlisle.

Perhaps more importantly though, Barea's killing the Mavericks with his shooting struggles right now. I guess it's difficult to give Kidd too many minutes with the big four-oh on the horizon but you've got to make layups like that. The only one he's made was the most difficult attempt of all.

I'm not going for Dallas but Barea needs to start making his lay ups. Lol

Barea's playing like he belongs in the D-League. I'm sure Carlisle wants to rest Kidd as long as possible but he's just not getting it done.

I'm loving Stevenson in the finals so far. Not many minutes, but very productive on both ends.

League pass quality is a bit off right now. Or is it my connection?

Mavs can't afford to go cold in the second half, they need another quick start.

Gotta agree, he missed two layups I remember Kidd having a couple of head-scratching turnovers too, in the first quarter...

Miami is not doing a bad job on Dirk but of some of those shots he missed were makeable. And Dallas is doing a great job of keeping LeBron out the paint but Wade is still having his way.

Liking how Bosh is playing tonight. Lebron hasn't been that good offensively but he's playing really unselfish at the moment and it allowed other second fiddle players to get into a rhythm.

40 seems to be an unlucky number for Dirk, second time he's had a consecutive free throw streak end at 39.

What was that??? Dirk missing from the line?
Oh well, if he makes the next 39, I'm good.

These Finals aren't doing all that much for the "LeBron is better than Jordan" argument. Wade's not doing a bad MJ impression, though.
