Timeout Crash

Fri May 13, 2011 1:37 am

Before I get a bunch of people telling me to buy the game and play with it in the drive let me tell you I DO!!! For some reason my game started crashing when a timeout is called and after the first quarter, please help. I re-bought the game a couple of days ago from gamestop because of this problem and thought maybe I had a pirated copy, (bought on Ebay). Anyways after installing TUP11 and a few other patches...same problem. I took a pic of the game and the case as proof, you can see it below. Is there anything else that might cause this? I have Tup11 and the update 1 and the REV30 jerseys and the transitions from nba56.com and a TNT scoreboard installed.

Do not mix too many patches.Mixing patches will cause crashes.
Have a fresh install of the game and just install tup11 and update 1 and then play a game and see if it crashes.
if it does not crash then it may have been one of the other patches.

I love that you posted a picture as proof. And i love the sandals as well.

lol....guess its not because of the scoreboard..:D...

anyway....

First, CHECK if there is large.fsh as what Sir Jelooo has said...if it has, then delete it including the all the armbase.fsh....Then, try to install properly the roster.

1. Put the TUP ROSTER in SAVES folder and copy everything in it except save.bat
2. Paste the COPIED files in currentdb, originaldb, workingdb in the My Documents\NBA LIVE 08\database
3. Lastly, Paste it also in the OrigDB folder...Here - C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 08\database\OrigDB

Finally, As what Sir Dc311 said....Do not mix Patches..^^..Hope this will help..^^

Basically you have too many high resolution patches, and the game engine is crashing when it is trying to load or unload them when you call a timeout. It could just be one patch, too. Start by removing any overlay patches, then any high resolution patches like logos, and even shoes.

Try to narrow it down by remembering what patches you installed after a time when it wasn't crashing.

permanently....but it's up to you...you can back up those files if you want....maybe you can use it for some other purposes. But in my case, I don't have any of those file in my NBA LIVE 08 folders..^^
