Ah, fair enough.I definitely agree it wasn't personal, just an inopportune mistake. I wouldn't even say the Bulls were screwed, it didn't help matters but they let the game slip away themselves.

Well, had the call NOT been reversed it would have been three shots for Rose. I think that's where the anger comes from.
Mon May 09, 2011 6:11 pm
True and that does ultimately hurt the rally attempt, but they put themselves in that hole in the waning minutes in the first place; like I said, you don't want to rely on the officials to get everything right to win a game. What's done is done, the Bulls just have to play better if they want to move on.

Regular game, sure. Playoff games, every loss is stolen by the refs.

The Hawks were just too good last night. nuff said.

That looked like it was going to be a close call heading into the fourth quarter, fortunately for the Bulls they were able to make a few stops and string a few baskets together while the Hawks ran out of steam. Great game for Rose, take away a couple of his misses which were desperation shots to beat the shot clock after the play broke down and that's not too bad a percentage, much better than Game 4. Nine assists with only two turnovers is much better too, both he and Gibson were huge in the fourth and Deng had a pretty good game as well. As far as the Hawks are concerned, I can see Teague getting a lot more playing time next year.
Hope they can close it out in six, I still believe they can win a Game 7 at home if necessary but I'd much rather it didn't come to that.

Great job, Bulls. See you on Sunday.

I was rooting for the Hawks in this series, but with the Celtics impending elimination only the Bulls can stop the Heat now in the East. So, GO BULLS.

I'm rooting for any team that can stop the Heat. Even the Mavs, even though I hate them, if it comes down to a Heat-Mavs Final. Lesser of two evils. Dirk deserves a ring but not Mark Cuban.

With the Heat seemingly getting their act together I'm not quite as confident about the Bulls' chances in the Conference Finals, but then they were 0-3 against them during the regular season so who knows. Of course, the Bulls need to get there first...

Let's hope the C's can win a game or two limiting the time Miami has in order to rest and Bulls of course end this one in Atlanta on the next game and not go to a hard game 7...

Only if Chris Bosh goes 1-18 from the field, Ray Allen goes totally insane, or Shaq forgets that this isn't 2001 and decides to score 40 because he's bored of sitting on the bench.
In all seriousness, Boston probably traded a championship for Jeff Green. Their frontcourt (a.k.a. Kendrick Perkins) was the reason they were able to beat the Heat early in the season.

Here's hoping. The Celtics have a shot to at least force a Game 6 but with the way Wade is playing, I have a feeling the Heat will be taking charge in the second half and closing out the series in five.

Who knew that Kendrick Perkins was so good he won two games he didn't even play in.

This is the part where I (vaguely) remember Larry Bird retiring and also remembering the Rick Pitino speech a few years after.

Hopefully we can contain Josh Smith and close this thing out tonight. Apparently he plays better on the home floor when the fans are coaching him. Btw I'm sick of Miami fans thinking they're going to win it all just because they beat an older, bruised up Boston team that wasn't anywhere near their full potential. There, I said it. You just made it out the second round get your heads out the clouds. So sad.

Hello there. Could we be more civil and please stick to the topic which seems to be the Bulls vs Hawks here?
Anyways which Heat player do you guys think will be the Finals MVP? Wade or Bron? Hmm... tough call.

Well I did say the Bulls in 7. I guess I didn't make it clear I was cheering for them to win it all though.

And again, I say love it or leave it.
Oh wait wait wait wait.
You're in Atlanta. There aren't any Hawks fans there anyway.
Nevermind.

Tough call indeed. Who knows what will happen in 2012?
Thu May 12, 2011 8:05 pm
Nothing, you have to wait for 2013 for the next Finals.
