2011 Playoffs: (2) Lakers Vs. (3) Mavericks

Perhaps the Mavericks were using some discretion and realised if they reacted that it could adversely hurt their chances of advancing. Against the reigning champions, you need all the help you can get and getting suspended and potentially throwing a series away in the process because you "had someone's back" is just idiocy.

And having a ruckus of the teams could ignite the Lakers and shrug off Kobe's boredom, which every player in the NBA knows is a dangerous thing.

Going distance in fight would be an idiocy for sure. But being treated as softies wouldn't be too much of a fun activity. Ask Raptors and OKC(or read Durant on Perks) before the trade.

I'd like to see the Mavericks win game three not only for all the faux-Laker fan meltdowns (i.e. those who don't realize that Kobe always wins) elsewhere but also to see how Kobe's teammates are going to let him down by bailing out despite playing with the greatest of all time.

And all of a sudden the Mavs are the favorites. Not liking it

A few questionable calls/non-calls in the second quarter there but the Mavericks have gone cold and gotten a bit sloppy with the ball. Still anyone's game though.

Questionable calls here and there. Right now it looks like a game that will be decided by passion and hustle rather than any other aspect.

Dirk already 3/4 from down town, Kobe's finally playing effective as he does not take a lot of shots and hits those shots he is taking. Game still open - if Dallas wins - we're done, that game is so important.

Kobe looked around, saw the fact he is the greatest player to ever play the game. Saw that unlike other so-called MVPs or GOATs he doesn't need any help to win title after title.

And Kobe recognized there was only one thing left for him to do, be the first person to lead his team from down 0-3 and win a series.

The Mavericks have zero shot at winning this series now. Especially considering their best player is one of the worst playoff players and greatest chokers in history.

What a game! Gotta hand it to the Mavericks, I thought they might have lost their grip on the game when the Lakers went on that run to go up by eight in the fourth and seemed poised to run away with it. Nerves of steel down the stretch, but the Lakers really made them fight for it. Great win that should all but clinch the series, but there's a first time for everything. At the very least, I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers at least take the next one to avoid the sweep.
