The Bulls badly needed Rose's heroics to even beat the Pacers. Rose was 100% then, not wise for the Bulls to keep relying on Rose to bail them out especially after that injury he sustained in game 4 of the first round.

Upset again... MEM and ATL are surprising us pretty bad.
C'mon cago...!

Fluke game saw a lot of miracle shots fall and the Hawks play their absolute best. Rose or no Rose they win this series methinks. Everything that transpired today is concerning for the ECF

Tough shots yeah but flukes idk about that. Some nights Joe is off and his shot selection is a bit questionable but he also has those nights he can't miss. Tonight Joe played aggressive. Idk Joe is Joe. As for Jamal Crawford, he has always hit shots like that. I'm really not as surprised as some people are because if the Bulls struggled with the Pacers then why not the Hawks who are clearly a better team than the Pacers.

Atlanta in game 6. They'll surprise Chicago...
Tue May 03, 2011 8:16 pm
It'll be funny if Atlanta somehow ends up in the finals. If they win this series I kinda have the feeling that they would beat the Heat /Celtics too.
Tue May 03, 2011 9:18 pm
I can fathom no situation in which the Atlanta Hawks can beat Miami.
Boston I might consider since their offense can go in the toilet like Chicago's.

This must be the first game that at least partially justified JJ's big contract. So maybe if he gets like 50 of those games in the next years to come, the contract only was bad, not
Tue May 03, 2011 9:55 pm
I don't really think there's anyway to justify Johnson's contract.
Or did they not have the ability to match what he was offered? I forget.

pretty sure he was unrestricted

16 pts at the half. Hows that ankle D-Rose?
Thu May 05, 2011 11:42 am
Josh Smith is damn terrible. Al Horford can't rebound shit.
Thu May 05, 2011 11:57 am
Josh Smith is actually a good player. The Bulls Defense is just throwing him out of his game. If you are looking for him to drop 20 pts every night thats not his game. Some nights he'll give you 20 but he is mainly out there for defense.

I know it's a manageable lead with only a quarter more to go but I'll stop watching this. I can't stand to listen more of Mike Fratello.
I just watched the replay of Thunder-Grizz game 2 a while ago and already had my fill of crappy commentating courtesy of Kevin McHale.
I don't like muting the TV because I can't hear the players shouting stuff.

when he's not shooting further than 15 ft away from the hoop. he's useless when he stands around the perimeter watching joe go 1 on 5. he needs to cut to the hoop and use his athleticism
Thu May 05, 2011 12:10 pm
Agreed. It doesnt help him standing around at the perimeter.

So Rose almost had a triple double. A win's a win.
Thu May 05, 2011 2:26 pm
That's a bit more like it, though Rose had more three point attempts and turnovers than I'd like to see. I'll take the win though, heading down to Atlanta down 0-2 would've been a disaster.

Ye of little faith for the MVP.

quadruple double with turnovers
Thu May 05, 2011 7:34 pm
I was referring to the turnovers. Wasn't even aware of his rebounds.
6 rebounds, eh. When it's 7, then maybe I can consider it near a 'double'
Thu May 05, 2011 7:40 pm
I will have NONE of this bad mouthing of the MVP.
He didn't have to go team up with other people to become a winner!

Huge game for Rose and a decisive win in Game 3, I'd say easily his best game of the postseason so far. Nice game from Gibson off the bench, too.

The MVP is now second all time in 40+ point playoff games by Bulls players!
