Bulls announced signing of Andre Miller
The Chicago Bulls have signed free agent guard Andre Miller to a two-year/$3.70M contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Trailblazers declined his team option thus making Miller a free agent. Bulls is looking for a backup guard for Derrick Rose in quite some time. And they didn't waste any time to bring Miller on the team who will give much experience and leadership. The 35 year old guard averaged 17.0 points, 6.5 assists, 1.3 steals in 75 games last season with Portland.
Miller will still be sporting a number 24 jersey.
In another related signing, the Bulls also had signed Grant Hill to a one-year contract.Butler settled with Dallas, signed a new contract
Guard Caron Butler seems like pretty contented with the Dallas Mavericks, as he signed a new contract with them, a four-year/$42.24M deal and a player option on the fifth year.
The 31 year old Butler averaged 16.7 points per outing, 5.8 rebounds last season with the Mavs and he's one of the main core of the Dallas offense. Though they still stumble in this year's playoffs, as they take their early first round exit and were eliminated by the Oklahoma City Thunder.Perkins signs with Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder officially announced that they had signed center Kendrick Perkins to a three-year contract and a player option on his fourth.
Thunder tried to acquire Perkins last trade deadline but the it the time fell short. Perkins recently won a title with the Boston Celtics last season and he held an average of only 3.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He was plagued by injuries for almost all of the games in the season and sharing playing time with Shaquille O'Neal who recently retired. Perkins refused to sign again with the Celtics where they had offered him a 5yr contract.
Perkins will add a lot of things on the table for the Thunder, he will partner Serge Ibaka in the frontcourt who will probably take the starting spot after the Jeff Green, and these two big men will anchor the Thunder's defense.
Thunder also announced the signing of Kelenna Azubuike to a three-year deal.Randolph inks four-year deal with the Pacers
Double-double machine forward Zach Randolph agreed to a four-year/$42.28M deal with the Indiana Pacers.
Randolph refuse to play again with the Memphis Grizzlies after missing another playoffs with them. Randolph will team-up now with another ex-Grizzlie O.J. Mayo who was dealt to Pacers last trade deadline, Randolph finished the season again with a double-double average, 20 points and 10 rebounds and played all 82 games.
Pacers also signed center Spencer Hawes.'Melo's Decision: I'm with the Suns
The most coveted prize in the market this free agency period, Carmelo Anthony.
After refusing to sign a fresh contract with the Nuggets, Anthony choose to sign a four-year contract with the Phoenix Suns and holding a player option for his fifth year. All-Star forward rejected some offers by teams like the New Jersey Nets, Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers. Anthony averaged 28.2 points a career-high 9.0 rebounds per game with the Nuggets.
He will wore a number 22 jersey this season, the same number he wore in his high school days.
While the Nuggets announced their signing of Greg Oden to a 5yr/$73.61M deal.Other team signingsNets sign DeAndre Jordan to 4yr/$38.75M deal
Hornets sign Andrei Kirilenko to 4yr/$10.71M deal
Bucks sign Marcus Thornton to 4yr/$28.56M deal
Mavericks sign Shannon Brown to 5yr/$37.79M deal
Jazz sign Eiji Sawakita to 4yr/$20.72M deal
76ers sign Joel Przybilla to 2yr/$2.57M deal
Lakers sign Rafer Alston to 1yr/$1.08M deal
Jazz sign Tracy McGrady to 2yr/$11.52M deal
Hornets sign Vince Carter to 1yr/$7.55M deal
Hawks sign Delonte West to 3yr/$15.84M deal
Celtics sign Nenad Krstic to 3yr/$8.95M deal
Hawks re-signed Jamal Crawford to 4yr/$30.09M deal
Mavericks traded Shawn Marion for Bobcats' Desagana Diop

SUNS Signed MELO? Wow, very nice deal for them.
Randolph with Pacers? That sucks. I wanted to see Randolph with Grizzlies.

just like RL melo and amare
Thu Apr 28, 2011 11:31 am
KidJustin, My roster is set, Azubuike will be our backup SG while Webster will play behind Durant.
Accidentally simmed through the pre-season, oh well it's just the pre-season. Will write a team preview for each team before the season starts

Me and my big mouth
Thu Apr 28, 2011 12:48 pm
Nash and Melo will be very entertaining. All that team needs is a good second option for Nash, then they'll be very competitive.
Oden to Denver? This offseason must be a Nuggets fan's nightmare
Thu Apr 28, 2011 5:22 pm
buike is a solid pick up
especially since video game buike is not hurt like RL buike
i think u get an A- off season
Thu Apr 28, 2011 9:30 pm
Some very interesting offseason movements. The Pacers squad should be a strong one now? + Hornets get Kirilenko and Carter
Fri Apr 29, 2011 8:34 pm
The Pistons?! What players do they have at PG?
Celtics are champions,Bulls got Andre Miller, missed a lot these last days that I am off!
Fri Apr 29, 2011 9:24 pm
Bukie is a solid player and nice pick up , cant believe Melo is with the Suns but i like the Zach Randolph signing.
Fri Apr 29, 2011 9:29 pm
dare, Sorry, I think Melo really hate the Nets

Just carry your team alone
Grandmama Johnson, Let's see if they can get a ring together, lol at the Oden signing too. 5 years?
KidJustin, Yes, his jumper is so smooth
osaki, Kirilenko plays small forward while Carter at the two guard, I think the team are pretty deep now.
George7, Will have to write a team by team lineups

Bulls also signed Grant Hill.
mp3, Buike will probably be our main sixth man to backup Harden or Durant, let's see if I can get that Sixth Man award
Fri Apr 29, 2011 11:49 pm

Sat Apr 30, 2011 1:42 am
