Given how banged up he is at this point of his career, I'm inclined to agree. Maybe a few token appearances here or there, if they want to turn it into a bit of a retirement tour.

yeah although rey's been hurt for a while, he's working quite a bit but taker does have 10 years on him so i don't think there's any point in making him work matches unless they are completely necessary for his storyline

Jeff Jarrett Trying To Draw Promotion For TNA Off The Royal WeddingTNA Wrestling Founder Jeff Jarrett has taken his campaign against "freeloading Brits" to a new level, by criticizing the Royal Wedding.
In an exclusive interview with the UK's Daily Star newspaper, Jeff slammed William and Kate and challenged them to a match against himself and wife Karen.
Jeff told the paper's Patrick Lennon: "I've always said Britain is full of freeloaders, but these two are the biggest pair of spongers I've ever laid eyes on.
"In my great country, the United States of America, we don't waste money on useless phony families, their ridiculous weddings and the divorces that always follow."
In comments that have been picked up around the world, The King of the Mountain added: "If you want to see a real princess then take a look at my lovely wife Karen. She has it all - looks, class, poise and, most importantly, a JOB!
"When Will and Kate are on their FREE honeymoon, they should stop off in the beautiful city of Orlando and take us on in a tag team match to decide who the real Royal couple are."
That's beyond sad and desperate in trying to get some publicity for TNA.

Never been impressed with Jarrett's work, even when he was with the WWF or WCW, and I still don't get it now.

On the one hand, this is stupid. On the other hand, with thousands of public servants losing their jobs while taxpayer dollars fund all this, he actually has a point.

yeah he was okay as "Double J" but he then became known only for hitting people with guitars

just, wow
Dafney's workers comp lawsuit isn't being taken serious by TNA. If they don't pay up, it becomes Universal's responsibility since it's their building, and if that happens...bye bye Impact Zone. (link somewhere, too tired to look for it)
Mon May 02, 2011 10:08 am
And most likely, goodbye TNA if that were to happen. It's unlikely Panda Energy likes the idea of paying those larger contracts without a TV deal.
Mon May 02, 2011 10:30 am
Universal just provides the Impact Zone, I think Spike's TV deal isn't affected by that.
CM Punk and Orton just had a pretty damn good match.
Awesome ending to Kofi/Sheamus as well
Cole over JR & King again
just end this shit

Probably not directly (as in they lose one, the other is immediately gone) but I'd have to imagine that the loss of the Impact Zone would lead to the loss of their TV deal unless they can find another permanent venue to tape. It doesn't seem it's within their budget to take it on the road as WWE does for RAW and Smackdown.
Cole going over again? Awful, no excuse for this story line continuing and WWE programming becoming The Michael Cole Show.

Awesome Kong (Kharma)
finally made her debut, taking McCool out with the Implant Buster.
She's doing a Doink the Clown gimmick, evil laughs followed by serious face. Pretty good.
Christian, finally

AFTER A WHOLE YEAR DROUGHT CENAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
meh, another good ending though
Mon May 02, 2011 12:59 pm
I don't hate Cena as a lot of people do but nothing new there. The finish does sound alright though.
Good for Christian, it's a shame it took Edge's retirement to make it happen but looking back on previous champions, that's the way it goes sometimes. I hope he has a decent run and is able to stick around in the main event scene when it's done.

caught the middle & end of the cage match. is it me or does it make no sense whatsoever (from an ignorant fan's point of view) when a wrestler is on the outside portion of the cage and doesn't drop down to win the match? instead they'd rather climb back up and sit on the top of the cage and punch him only to "fall over" back into the ring? that takes a bit of the mystique away from cage matches. also Morrison's hard landing on the cage door (OUCH) i have never seen before, so props despite him magically balancing on the cage and not falling down for the win. oh and they need to start doing more moves/finishers off the top of the cage/top rope but Morrison's pain move off the top of the cage wasn't very impressive for some reason, plus i saw it coming when both cena AND Miz got up at the same time
about to watch the rest of the ppv now

It's definitely one of those things in wrestling that defies logic and we're not supposed to think about, kind of like slowly climbing the ladder. I suppose we're meant to think that it's the result of them being beaten up, they can't move quickly and/or think straight as a result of the grueling match that's taking place, but even then it's not always portrayed particularly well.

*Finally,Kharma has arrived.
*Christian
*LoL at the guy in the front row,he is holding different Zack Ryder sign all night long

"Killed" isn't TV-PG?
Mon May 02, 2011 7:37 pm
Definitely some kind of a feel good PPV for the fans it seems, faces go 7 for 7, 7 for 8 if you give a shit about Cole.
It's sad and ridiculous at the same time that it took this long and probably a request from a retiring Edge for Christian to win a world title. Hope he can hold to it for some time, he's not gonna win it again any time soon.
And no wonder CM Punk is on his way out, dude hasn't had a PPV victory since Extreme Rules of last year. After Orton won at Mania, I really thought they'd give him this match.
Obviously I doubt that is the actual reason behind the rumors that he's leaving, but I'm just saying, he's way too talented to be dropping this many matches.

Could be. Still better than WCW's "International Object" rather than the standard "Foreign Object". Why they couldn't have just gone with "Illegal Object" when a wrestler pulled out a concealed weapon behind the referee's back I'll never know, but that's WCW for you. For all their initial success in the Monday Night Wars, they did some strange stuff. And considering some of the things the WWF was doing before the Attitude era, that's saying something.

It's not unprecedented in the world of wrestling though. It took a steroid scandal to allow smaller but more talented workers like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels to become heavyweight champions. It took Eddie Guerrero's death to get Rey Mysterio a heavyweight title run. Opportunity is kind of like that at times, in many aspects of life but certainly in pro wrestling.

Extreme Rules is pretty good I would say.
Cody Rhodes impress me everytime, Sheamus as well and Christian winning. I like it that they are given the moment when they have win it for the first time, I still remember the time when both Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit winning it.
