Orl Dynasty - Shaq & Penny, Hill, and Walton, too!

My other dynasty file got deleted by accident, so I started a new one with the Magic. This season starts with a few blockbuster trades which follow:

Tmac is 'tired of losing' and was more than eager when GM of the Orlando Magic tried to comfort him by trading him to the Lakers for Shaquille O'Neal (and some scrubs in between). The Lakers have worked with Tmac and now has him playing the starting SF position. Bryant and Tmac will be looking to have fun playing together, once Malone and GP soon retire..

Not exactly a BIG trade, but Luke Walton was traded to the Magic. He's currently a starter, and the Magic believe Luke can be just as good, or even better than, his father, Bill Walton. We'll see how he develops over the course of his career.

Ok, I'm about to play my first game now, lets see how things work out...

First, on an unrelated note, Tim Duncan got injured on his first game, with bone spurs in the ankle. He's out 4 weeks. Things are looking up.

Orlando Magic @ New York Knicks - 122 125 (ot1)

My first game was a loss. I was ahead in the 1st quarter, then they caught up, and it was close all game. Grant Hill got hurt 4th quarter, but he was able to return. At the end, it was tied, and I dumped the ball to Shaq to try to make a game winner. He did his work, got double teamed, people reaching all over, and he went for a dunk, but he threw it off the rim (I think he got hacked), and it went into overtime. Penny Hardaway took a 3 pointer in the end of overtime to force a second overtime, but I couldnt get him open, so I was forced to shoot it contested, it missed, time expired, and I lost. :(

Player of the game was Stephon Marbury.

New Orleans Hornets @ Orlando Magic - 91 116

Despite the final score, it was a close game throughout most of the game. Penny was hit bad with foul trouble and I took a gamble and left him in, and he ended up with 5 in the 3rd... Shaq took this game over, while Penny only had 4 points after 3 quarters... However, Penny exploded 4th quarter (until he fouled out at 40 seconds left) and ended up with 19 points. Grant Hill got 23 points while rookie Walton got 18 points.

Thanks to Shaq's consistent strong play and Penny's explosion 4th quarter, the Magic were able to pull away for their first win of the season, and are proud of it.

Shaquille O'Neal was the player of the game.

Ok, I don't mean to take anyone's ideas, but I guess if I'm going to attract more visitors I have to start posting pics and stuff, so sorry if anyone thinks I stole from them. :(

Wohoo! The pictures really do add visitors.

I'm about to start my next game now... My games usually take 1 to 1/2 hours.

Also the lakers are playing their first playoff game, I'm listening to that too.

Hardwood Classics Night

The final score: 123 to 132

This was not a very close game. It was a blowout all game long, and the Magic had a large enough lead to relax by the 4th quarter. The Magic played excellent basketball all through the game. Walton didn't have his best night, but luckily backup PF Pat Garrity proved that he can work the post, with 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Stats:

-Shaq:
30 Points
15 Rebounds
3 Assists
4 Blocks

-Penny:
27 Points
3 Rebounds
5 Assists
1 Steal

-Hill:
16 Points
8 Rebounds
7 Assists
1 Block
1 Steal

-Walton:
15 Points
6 Rebounds
5 Assists
