The Chicago Bulls have signed free agent guard Andre Miller to a two-year/$3.70M contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Trailblazers declined his team option thus making Miller a free agent. Bulls is looking for a backup guard for Derrick Rose in quite some time. And they didn't waste any time to bring Miller on the team who will give much experience and leadership. Perkins signs with Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder officially announced that they had signed center Kendrick Perkins to a three-year contract and a player option on his fourth.
Thunder tried to acquire Perkins last trade deadline but the it the time fell short. Perkins recently won a title with the Boston Celtics last season and he held an average of only 3.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He was plagued by injuries for almost all of the games in the season and sharing playing time with Shaquille O'Neal who recently retired. Perkins refused to sign again with the Celtics where they had offered him a 5yr contract.
Perkins will add a lot of things on the table for the Thunder, he will partner Serge Ibaka in the frontcourt who will probably take the starting spot after the Jeff Green, and these two big men will anchor the Thunder's defense.
