Thunder Up! - 2011 NBA Draft Lottery

Trail Blazers win top pick in NBA Draft with another huge upset

Way back then in the 2006 NBA Draft, in a stunning draft lottery night, the Portland Trailblazers snatched the top pick with just a small 5.3% chance to win the lottery and they used that pick to select Greg Oden. Who's probably known now as a injured-plagued center and considering to be draft bust. Now, they've won again the lottery and can select another top prospect to improve their team. Can they do a smart draft and select a true player that can help their team?

With a very slim chance of 1.7% chance to grab the no. 1 overall pick, Blazers representative Brandon Roy had a big smile on his face at the prospect of adding the likes of Stephen Peacock, Patrick McMillan and David Brady to his team, who fell down last season and did not qualified for the Playoffs.

Detroit, which had the best chance to win the lottery after finishing with a league-worst 21-61 record, fell to fourth, and Minnesota dropped one place down from second to No. 3. Toronto climbed up from being projected as the third pick to the second overall pick.

The complete draft order for the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft is presented below:

1. Portland Trailblazers
2. Toronto Raptors
3. Minnesota Timberwolves
4. Detroit Pistons
5. Philadelphia 76ers
6. Washington Wizards
7. Sacramento Kings
8. Cleveland Cavaliers
9. New Jersey Nets
10. Memphis Grizzlies
11. Phoenix Suns
12. Indiana Pacers
13. Cleveland Cavaliers
14. Houston Rockets
15. New York Knicks
16. Chicago Bulls
17. Detroit Pistons
18. Phoenix Suns
19. Utah Jazz
20. Charlotte Bobcats
21. Milwaukee Bucks
22. New Orleans Hornets
23. Houston Rockets
24. Denver Nuggets
25. Golden State Warriors
26. Miami Heat
27. Atlanta Hawks
28. Oklahoma City Thunder
29. Toronto Raptors
30. Boston Celtics
