hey vlad, I was wondering about your MLB 2k11 version of this editor.

the first thing i was wondering was if you will be adding a name database editor for the mlb 2k version that you already have in the nba 2k version. i would really like to edit the names on the database in MLB 2k that way the generated players the CPU creates aren't all retarded names like Rudolph and Ernest.

secondly, i would like to know if the problem is at all compatible with mlb 2k10. if so, you'd be my hero! any way to make it work with mlb 2k10?

Hello Vl@d and others. I have questions about various settings using REDitor II, for example most of the skill settings have an in max setting of 99 but I see in parenthesis (theory) with a number 110.3. Does these mean you can go higher than 99 and if so will the game recognize anything beyond the in-game max number. Another category is "Play4Winner: How important it is for player to win games". Is this different or the same as clutch or do they work independently. I noticed that the in-game max is 6 but with (theory) it's 7. Just curious as to what parts of a players game does this attribute affect and if the game would recognize anything beyond the in-game max without any side effects.

And my last question has to do with the shoe settings. Take for example players like Hinrich and Korver who have their sneakers set to the two Converse brands grayed out so you can't change the brand of the shoe from within the game. Which setting would I have to go to in order to make those type of players wear any and all brands of sneakers available in my NBA2K11 files? I looked all over the editing tutorial but couldn't make out which one it could be.

This handy piece of fine craftsmanship by Vl@d is a necessity to me when it comes to this game and hopefully MLB2K11. I had no problems tossing out $22 for this gem of a program. I don't plan on using all of it's features but I like to have all that's available just in case I decide to. Thnx again guys. :bowdown2:

^ Just a guess of course, but i think "Play4Winner" defines how much the player wants to be on a winning team, but "Clutch" defines how GOOD a player is at getting the win HIMSELF.

For example, a crappy player might want to always be on a winning team, but he sucks too much to carry the team for a win.

Ron Harper might have a high Play4Winner rating (he won 3 rings with the Bulls, then left to go the Lakers when the Bulls stopped winning, and got 2 more rings there). He might have a low Clutch rating, though, since neither team really wanted him to have the ball at the end of the game (not when there is the option of Jordan, Kobe, or Shaq in his prime, anyway).

If your players have a high Play4Winner rating, they will probably demand a trade if the team doesn't challenge for a championship every season, even if they suck!

That's actually not why i came to this thread though lol

I actually just want to make sure i sent the payment to the right place. The email address on the Payment information page is REDitor@ya.ru

When i sent the payment to that address, however, the name of the person was some German Name. It didn't match the first and last name written on the payment page, http://reditor.narod.ru/HowToBuy.htm

Was my payment received? When can i expect my license to become active?

Thank you.

That sounds about right now that I think about it. Thanks for the advice. I know this is a basketball only site but man I wish some of these guys did mods for MLB2K11. Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places but I can't seem to find any sites remotely close to this one that specializes in MLB2K mods for PC. :(

1) I've already added that. ;) Actually, in the next public release (which comes tomorrow) only about 35% of the total experimental version editable things will be visible. So, you can estimate, how powerful the final version will be, comparing to what MLB 2Kx fans have had so far. ;) Still, the implementation of more advanced things at later stages will depend on the sales rate.
2) Yes, i can make it compatible with MLB 2K10, but right now i have very limited time and a lot of things with bigger priorities to be done. So, i can't guarantee, but maybe i'll add some basic functionality for MLB 2K10 in summer/September, if i have nothing more important to do.

Hello!
1) I haven't made general tests on skills values, actually. Visually it will be still 99, but at least you'll get no side-effects, inputting a bigger value. Maybe, the game engine will suppose it to be bigger than 99, but i haven't made such kind of tests.
2) Chas is right about Play4Winner and Clutch. What i can add, is that value 7 is used in NBA 2K10, so, probably, it's really bigger, than 6.
3) For shoes settings check out GShsBrand and GShsModel columns, which are located at the end of the Gear section.
Thx for your kind words. I hope, we will see more MLB 2K11 mods, once the full version of REDitor II MLB 2K11 Tables is released.

====================================
About purchasing. Guys, unfortunately, i'm not in front of the PC 24-hours a day, so, sorry for the possible inconviniences. I respond with keys as soon, as i can. Thx for purchasing and for your patience! ;)
And, yes, Goette is the right person to recieve the money. :)

====================================
Setting the general focus:
The next version is set to be released tomorrow.
Then my major focus is MLB 2K11, which full version is supposed to be completed by late-April - early-May.
The first 10 days of May i'll probably spend in Germany, so this will be a little break.
The second major focus is NBA 2K11 360 files, which are being worked in parallel with MLB 2K11 Tables. The release date of full NBA 2K11 360 files Tables is set to late-May.
Other plans will be published, when the future's more clear. ;)

Good luck with editing and modding!

Thanks for the tips Vl@d. Keep doing what you do best. (Y)

I do have another problem I can't seem to solve. I took the advice you gave someone else in a previous post.

1. Open one roster.
2. Hold Ctrl button and click on the ID column of the player, you wish to copy -> the whole row will be selected.
3. Press Ctrl + C.
4. Open another roster.
5. Do the same, as in point 2, or just select FullName cell of the player, you wish to paste to.
6. Press Ctrl + V.
7. Voila. Just save. )))
But, as Jao said, it's not the best method for CAPs, as you will lose much of their appearance info. Still, works fine for players with non-CAP CFs.

I didn't exactly apply this method because i felt like it would also copy the teamID's and that would place two of the same players on the same team. So take young Vince Carter for instance from the Raptors, all I did was copy everything from young Vince starting from SShtlns -to- ADunk, stopping short right before the AFreeT attribute and pasting it to current Vince on the Suns starting with SShtlns -to- ADunk, stopping short before AFreeT. I then save as to the appropriate ros file. Now when I start the game and load the ros file everything is okay and the ratings show just fine by looking at the rosters. But once I start a game using the Suns it will crash back to desktop right after the intro "Team vs Team coming up next".

Should I have done it the way you described in the quote above or did I mess up somewhere else. Luckily I backed up my original files so I can safely experiment to see where I went wrong. I would've just simply traded young VC for the current one from within the game but young Vince is on a created Raptor team I downloaded from 2Kshare (Franchise Best v3.ROS) and the game wont allow you to move players on created teams. One of the main reasons why REDitor is so important. I know I must have did something wrong or overlooked something, I just don't know what. Hey Vl@d, hows that casual-friendly GUI coming along? I think I might need it to help kick start some things for me. :|

@ Vlad,

hey man, I just saw someone requesting this be useable for MLB 2k10. If you could do that, I'd be so pumped. I'd be more than willing to purchase the reditor ii if it worked for MLB 2k10 in a SECOND! If you get the time to make it compatible with MLB 2k10, that'd be huge for me as well as many others.

Also, if you do make it compatible with MLB 2k10, can you add the name bank column that you have in NBA 2k? I really want to edit the name databases as far as generated first and last names go in MLB 2k10.

This program is absolutely amazing!

I had one question though, that I would appreciate anyone who can, to help me. I have an online simulation league, and I use NBA 2K11 for screen shots of players in the correct jersey based on the rosters for the simulation league, so I have gone through and have edited the entire roster file to perfectly mock my leagues rosters, but when I load up the game the players are still on their same original teams (i.e. Jrue Holliday is still on the 76ers but with a Wizards logo behind his portrait). So then I tried to go to manage rosters, and trade them to their correct team based on that logo behind their portrait. Though when I did that, I wasn't able to select the team because the game recognizes the player (i.e. Jrue Holliday) on the Wizards, but he just isn't showing up on the Wizards roster. Please help! Thanks in advance!

the team id is responsible for logos in the background. check the rotation tabs in reditor found under teams. Make sure your players id number is in the teams rotation. ex jrue holiday player id may be 0 so make sure that 0 is in the wizards rotation. hope this helps

I have one problem that I really need help with. When I try to change GIDs to allow alternate jerseys, in this case the black timberwolves jerseys, it changes that to the default. It stills says alternate but if I were to just go and play as away Timberwolves without checking the jerseys, it would load the black instead of the blue jerseys. I don't know if there is any way for me to change this or if I have to change the jersey itself?

I really hope you can help me, pretty important for my roster
