Standard of Rating

Thu Apr 07, 2011 4:52 pm

Hello

It calculated by this expression.
48/Minute play per game×The same player stats per game/same season NBALive Rating

Stats to ability 1
OREB:0.072
DREB:0.12
BLK:0.042
STL:0.032

When you use B.Griffin Stats
OREB:58
DREB:94
BLK:28
STL:15

It doesn't necessarily go out to the result of the simulation because EA set it.

I don't believe that's actually how the "EA ratings" are done.

It's been known for a while that EA's ratings are all based on what appears to be per minute rates using a pretty standard scale method. (That drops as you move up into the 90% percentile.) I at least decoded this for the community almost a decade ago. (Dear god...)

And the Live 08 simulation sucks, the older ones were better at replicating stats, they were still not perfect though. But Live 08 is a mess.

I have derived scales for more advanced stats like reb%, stl%, blk% if anyone would want them.

These are the orb%, drb%, ast%, stl% and blk% as seen on b-r. Example: http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... fbl01.html
So:
ORB: 77
DRB: 91
AST: 72
STL: 23
BLK: 49

I have more rating calculations but there's little chance I can explain them to people anymore.
