dare, yeah I missed out on that, only the first series I had no 1st game pick.

Could you just take my game 2 as game 1 etc .. so that the guy in game 7 will be ignored? Thanks

This will be in hiatus for a while as I will be frequently check in the hospital, I spent the couple of days in there because of my gall stone and lately they found out that I might have a heart enlargement. Hopefully I can get this going soon.

Thanks for the good words guys, I will take an ECG test again this day to a known doctor to confirm if I might have heart enlargement. My family doesn't really trust my first result as I was in a great chest pain when I took it. Besides there are no signs of me having any heart problems because I can regularly play basketball every morning. Hoping to see a different outcome today so that my operation for removing my gallstone can be scheduled.

What? Google Reggie Lewis, Jason Collier, Eddy Curry, and Cuttino Mobley. :shake:

Shadow's right, you should especially google Reggie Lewis! It's goddam dangerous to keep playing with heart problems! (N)

Re: LA Lakers|Drive to the Finals| Game One

Sat Apr 09, 2011 10:57 am

It scared me when I google Reggie Lewis but I'm happy to say that I don't have heart enlargement or any heart problems. The chest pains occurs because of my hyper acidity it is only heartburn. Also because of my gallstone my acid rises frequently so basically I always suffer from chest pains.

Thanks for the kind words guys really appreciate it, my operation will be on a bit delay because of my recent medical charges.

After a disappointing game 1 the Oklahoma City Thunder bounce back and steal game 2 to defeat the LA Lakers 106-97. The Thunder had 17 steals in the game and forced the Lakers to 21 turnovers.

Kevin Durant had a game high 38 points and 5 steals, Russel Westbrook had 22 points, 9 assists and 2 steals while Serge Ibaka added 13 points, 8 boards, 2 steals and 1 block.

Kobe Bryant finished with 31 points and 7 assists but had 5 turnovers. Lamar Odom added 15 points, he was the only Lakers not to commit turnover.

Image
The LA Lakers used a late fourth quarter run to edge out the Oklahoma City Thunder 98-94. Kevin Durant had 48 points but it was not enough as he only scored 4 points in the final quarter. With only 30 seconds left in the game and the Lakers were up 96-94 Ron Artest forced Durant to a backcourt violation. It is the only turnover of Durant the entire game.

Kobe Bryant had 39 points for his team while Pau Gasol added 19 points. James Harden added 13 points and Jeff Green had 11 points for the Thunder.

The LA Lakers need one more win to advance in the second round as they defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 96-90. It was a total team effort for the Lakers who were led by Kobe Bryant with 27 points and 9 assists, Pau Gasol had 22 points and 9 boards, Ron Artest added 17 points and Shannon Brown had 11 points off the bench.

Kevin Durant had another monster performance with 47 points but he is the only Thunder who reaches double figures in scoring. Russell Westbrook had 9 points and 8 assists.

Same matchup, same result. The LA Lakers advance in the second round as they defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder 99-91. Early in the second quarter the Lakers were look to have an easy as they went on to lead as much as 15 points but in the second half the Thunder rallied and cut the lead to only 3 points. That was the closest the Thunder could get as the Lakers hang on to the lead.

Pau Gasol led the team with 30 points. Kobe Bryant had 22 points and 9 dimes. Lamar Odom added 16 points and 6 boards while Andrew Bynum chipped in 11 points.

Mavs4Life, Actually its a tough series for me, even though we finished it in 5 games those games were still close.
KidJustin, No man, I think Kobe is just trash talking Durant.
Justine., Yeah he did, good thing the team played good defense on his teammates.

PLAYOFFS RECAP: FIRST ROUND

WESTERN CONFERENCE

Image

In a rematch battle the LA Lakers once again defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder and advance in the second round ending this series in 5 games. We witnessed Kevin Durant totally dominating the Lakers but his teammates have not been able to help him. It was a very tough series for both team but the experience of the two time defending champs prove to be the factor as almost the last three games were decided in the final minutes.

Image

The Utah Jazz made quick work of the New Orleans Hornets as they finished them in 5 games. Give credit to coach Jerry Sloan he did a great job on making his team a great defensive and hardworking team. Allen Iverson, Al Jefferson and Raymond Felton all averaged 17 PPG. Felton had a great battle against Chris Paul, both had almost identical stats but Felton had a better series. Felton averaged 17.4 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 8.4 APG and 1.8 SPG while Paul had 16.4 PPG, 7.0 RPG, 7.4 APG and 1.2 SPG. Andrei Kirilenko played at the PF spot in the last three games for Paul Millsap who is out with an injury, Kirilenko averaged 3.0 SPG and 2.8 BPG in the entire series.

Image

The depth of the Portland Trailblazers can’t be match by the teamwork of the Denver Nuggets. From Brandon Roy to Patty Mills everyone contributed in this series. Roy led his team with 22.8 PPG while Andre Miller had 18.5 PPG and 8.5 APG. Aldridge averaged 15.8 PPG but had a great performance on game 6 in which they finished the Nuggets, he had 42 points in that game. Greg Oden played well and averages 10.0 PPG and 6.0 RPG in only 18 minutes of playing time. Veteran Marcus Camby averaged 14 boards per game.

Image

The Texas showdown is not match of a battle, the Dallas Mavericks easily ended the San Antonio Spurs in 5 games with a margin of 13 points. The Spurs bench has not been a factor at all they cannot help Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan. Dirk Nowitzki dominated the series with an averaged of 29.4 PPG and 7.2 RPG. Jason Kidd had a good series, he finished with a triple double on game 2 and game 3.

EASTERN CONFERENCE

Image

The Milwaukee Bucks pushed the Miami Heat but in the end they lose to them in 6 games. The Bucks showed great defense and steal game 2 but the trio of Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh carry the whole team to victory. Surprisingly it was Bosh who dominated the series, he averaged 27 PPG and 7.2 RPG in 58% shooting. Wade had 19.7 PPG while James had 18.5 PPG. Another surprised is Michael Redd led the Bucks while playing off the bench, he averaged 18.3 PPG.

Image

The Atlanta Hawks upset the New Jersey Nets and finished the series in only 5 games. After the Nets won game 1 the Hawks steal game 2 and went on to win the last three games. The small but fast lineup of the Hawks is led by Jamaal Crawford who averaged 20.2 PPG. The Nets were forced to play small to but it didn’t work on their side. Carmelo Anthony led his team with 26.4 PPG and 10.2 RPG while Chauncey Billups seconded with 14.5 PPG and 6.0 APG. Team experience was also a major factor in this series.

Image

The lost of Derrick Rose was the key for the Boston Celtics to upset the Chicago Bulls and defeated them in 6 games. Rose had suffered torn meniscus on game 2 and never played the remaining games. Paul Pierce led the Celtics and Rajon Rondo had averaged double-double in the series. Shaquille Oneal proved why the Celtics signed him as he averaged 14.3 PPG and 8.9 RPG in the series but his game 6 performance was the highlight. He had 25 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks as the Celtics won that game.

Image

The Indiana Pacers cannot handle Dwight Howard as the Orlando Magic upset them and finished the series in 6 games. Howard averaged 25 PPG and 13 RPG in the series. Even without Gilbert Arenas and Jason Richardson scoring is not a problem when Jameer Nelson and J.J Redick inserted in the starting lineup. Nelson averaged 16.3 PPG while Redick had 14.3 PPG. The Magic’s defense limited the Pacers to just an averaged of 88 PPG.

Realistic results for the first round so far, the way Nowitzki performed in this is exactly the opposite in mine, he's mediocre and can't even score 20 points against our series, glad the Mavs able to knocked off the Spurs. Btw is that Deng? Why is he wearing number 20?
