He's still got another year on his contract. Do they really want to pay both him and Isiah Thomas next year?

I reckon Dolan would. He's done it before, I believe he'd consider it a drop in the bucket.

ESPN had crygate for the Heat? I thought the Heat where the pussies that whined in front of the media (ESPN, etc.) about how hurt they were and told the media how their team are such pansies?

Anthony Randolph 31 points 11 rebounds 1 block 2 steals 2 assists against the Mavericks.

I know it's one game, but I still want to cry.

Everybody knew Randolph had game, but sometimes players get into the League's doghouse & never get a chance, that is until they go to Minnesota, e.g. Chauncey Billups, Darko, etc

These last few games really really hurt me. I'm honestly not even looking forward to the playoffs anymore. The way the Knicks are playing, they will get swept in the first round. It's disgusting.

On the bright side, Nuggets are looking pretty competitive. Everybody must have known when you gut your winning core that it's not going to be easy to just win straight off the bat. NY got what they wanted, a star.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Anyone expecting NY to win straight away was dreaming. They have the core to attract talent now, give it some time.

That's why I'm so fed up with this franchise. They always screw up when it comes to keeping and developing young players. Randolph had another solid game last night. If he's the real deal, it's an indictment on D'Amphony. Even when the Knicks get the right pieces, they're going nowhere with this fake-ass coach. He's got to go.

...and to add to the pain, Brandon Jennings, who Walsh passed over in favor of the great Jordan Hill, torched the Knicks.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Jennings torching the Knicks is more of an indictment on the Knicks' D than it is their drafting habits. Hill was a poor pick, but Jennings seems to shoot 3-15 every game not against the Knicks.

I love Meal Ticket (Randolph), but him not getting minutes is justifiable. He's very talented and can have big games like this, but his head is full of rocks. I coach 6 and 7 year olds basketball and they never dribble inbounds.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Odom's done that one before. That doesn't justify Randolph not getting minutes, when I heard he went to NY I thought it was a good move for them, the guys got skills.

In the words of the immortal Michael Ray Richardson, "the ship be sinkin'!"

Imagine if the Knicks miss the playoffs after hiking ticket prices 49%.

Not so fast, guys. Last night when the Wolves almost beat the Celtics without Kevin Love, Anthony Randolph's entire statline: 3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 4 fouls, 3 turnovers.

How does a bad night mean the guy can't ball?

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue Mar 29, 2011 10:53 am

Because it seems nearly every night is a bad night for him.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue Mar 29, 2011 11:00 am

He's averaging 20/10 per 36 in his 15 games with the Wolves. Not a far cry from his career averages of 17/11. In the three games he started he's averaged 19/10 in just 30 minutes. For his career he's at 12/8 when he starts (25 minutes) which is about his 17/11 per 36 career average.

There's a difference between actual bad nights and getting yanked around by your coaches.

Lamar Odom had those pre-championship.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue Mar 29, 2011 1:29 pm

Not so fast guys. Last night when the Lakers beat the Hornets without Andrew Bynum, Lamar Odom's entire statline: 8 points, 5 rebounds, 0 steal, 4 assist, 4 fouls, 1 turnover.

These guys flat out suck. So not so fast okay?

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue Mar 29, 2011 1:44 pm

Not so fast. Kevin Garnett: 6pts 6rebs 4 fouls in a Celtics loss tonight.

LaMarcus Aldridge: 9pts 3rebs 3 turnovers 3 fouls.

Not so fast.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue Mar 29, 2011 1:56 pm

Not so fast guys, Garnett had 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 fouls and 1 turnover in a loss to the Bobcats and 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 fouls & 3 turnovers in a loss against the Rockets.

It seems nearly every night is a bad night for him.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

The losing streak is snapped and the rest of their schedule is fairly favourable. The Bulls and Celtics are the only really tough games coming up and they've had the Bulls' number so far this season.

I'm watching the Magic-Knicks game and my goodness is Gilbert Arenas awful or what.

Holy Christ, I feel bad for Howard.

How long is Nelson out?

Carmelo's not fitting well in this offense. He's too impatient and breaks plays off to go iso. He threw up some ridiculous shots. He was on last night, but what happens on those 8-for-20 games? He definitely needs a full training camp to 'get' this system. To be honest, I don't think he'll change much.

The dude I feel bad for is Landry Fields. It's like he disappeared since the trade.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:56 am

I have no idea, but it's got nothing to do with Nelson. The entire team is garbage outside of J-Rich.

The Knicks offense sucks though, D'Antoni's idea of offense is rebound, run, jack up a shot & run back to get the ball back. That's basically his offense.

With a coach who emphasises defense the Knicks will do much better, right now D'Antoni is the Mike Brown to Amar'e + Melo.
