Just bought an XBox 360 "controller"

Suddenly, players put the ball on the floor with no input from the left stick, nudging the stick sends them flying half the distance across the court, passes go anywhere but where they're supposed to, icon passing occasionally doesn't work, with no pass being thrown and the icons simply disappearing...

Is this just me? Am I crazy? Am I just taking time to get used to the controller? Is it a glitch occurring in massively coincidental fashion? Or does anyone else who's used different types of controllers had a similar experience?

Was previously using a Logitech Dual Action.

I use the same controller and have no problems. Have you calibrated it?

I don't see anywhere to do that?
