STUPID-ASS CODEBASE ERROR!!! HELP ME BEFORE I KILL MYSELF.

I hate to be a dick about this codebase error,but i have to.I have absolutely no idea what do next.I tried deleting all the working,original,mpdata and current files from the Documents/NBA LIVE 08/Database folder.It keeps on happening whenever i try to simulate to the next day of my dynasty.



I checked the working database and the players.dbf files but i can not find anything.Am i missing something? Any suggestions.

It must be a problem with the roster you're loading (which would then become the one in the workingdb folder). Have you made any changes recently?

@ ANDREW:Did I make changes,yes.I tried Kris's aiact and super gameplay fix.
You know what...I think it is just a sign from the basketball game gods that i just start a new dynasty with your new roster.I guess i was mainly pissed because it was the first dynasty that i was enjoying because it was challenging.I am going to look through it one last time and see what happens.Thanks Andrew.

I found the problem!!!!! Hooray for me!!!

I remembered that Kris's super gameplay directions said to replace the original database files in the main NBA Live 08 folder.At first i did not want to,but i did.I told myself that i would undo the changes that i did to that file but i completely forgot.Then about 15 minutes ago it just just hit me like if someone just kicked me in the balls.HaHa!! So i replaced it with the one i had before and it is fixed.I am surprised that i remembered it after taking so many drugs when i was a teenager.HaHa.Man i miss those days.Anyways,i am going to continue with my dynasty and thank you again Sir Andrew for your help(I am still going to create another dynasty with your new roster) and Gangsta for making me remember that "it's just a video game".

@dc311: man can you post how you fix the bug?plz...because i have been experiencing this kind of error and I just can't fix it. What do you mean to replace the original database files in the main NBA LIVE 08 folder? What will I change with it? Need your help mate.

Sorry for your problem man,but it happened to me again.I just started over with a fresh install of Live08 and then installed everything else again.

I can't really suggest anything other than the usual: try deleting the contents of your workingdb and currentdb folders. If you've made any changes to the database there may be a corruption, nothing much you can do in that situation except restore from a backup.

I think the error is with the rosters. There's an error with the database and the new players. The database is not updated. I tried playing season games with the default nba live 08 players and it's workin' very fine. Where can I get new database? Or how can I update my database? I don't really know how to do it.

Are you using a roster update?

@dc311: this is how I solved the problem..^^

Note: If you have downloaded the newest roster just as andrew uploaded here's what you should do to avoid errors.^^
1. after you have downloaded it(NLSC1011,1011Uninjured and etc) open the NLSC1011 and copy the everything inside except save.bat
2. paste it in the 3 folders of your database folder (C:\Users\user\Documents\NBA LIVE 08\database)
paste it in : originaldb, workingdb, and OrigDB folders.
3. and your good to go..^^

I think you can do this on all the roster downloads you have downloaded..^^ to avoid conflict with the database and the players..^^
