We start off with the player of the week awards and in the East its rookie
John Wall grabbing the award for the 1st time of his short career with the Wizards posting a 1-3 record this week alot of people around the league rightfully so questioned the league for handing out the award to players on teams that had a bad week.
Wall averaged 25.3ppg 3.6rpg 8.3apg 3.3spg.
Out West it got worst as Warriors
Monta Ellis took home the award with his team losing all 3 of the games they played , Ellis put up 31.0ppg 2.3rpg 4.6apg 2.6spg in the 3 games.
The knicks and Grizzlies pulled off the mid season trade sending forwards
Danilo Gallinari and
Anthony Randolph to Memphis in exchange for guard
O.J Mayo and young forward
Darrell Arthur.
In 2 games since the trade Memphis is 2-0 , Gallinari is averaging 14ppg and 3pg with AR playing 25 minutes over the 2 games putting a 8 & 4 average.
In New York things havent been so well with the knicks going 1-1 ending in a tough loss at home to the kings
O.J Mayo has put up good numbers of 20.5ppg 4.5rpg 3.5apg 1.5spg in 38 minutes per game and the D'Antoni has high hopes for youngster Arthur as he showed alot of promise for development his best game coming in the form of 6 points and 6 rebounds in 15 minutes vs the Kings.
In other news the Knicks have sent russian center
Timofey Mozgov to the D-League , he will join the
Andy Rautins ,
Craig Brackins ,
Anthony Morrow and
Ben Uzoh with the
Springfield Armor.
The early reports for
Rookie of the year see's
John Wall heading the cast while Blake Griffin is nowhere to be seen mainly through injury.
