I don't know how much credit I'd give him for hitting the open man with a pass as that's just common sense in basketball but sure, he made the right call there. Co-MVPs wouldn't have been out of the question but again giving it to Kobe by himself is a fair call, he had a big game when it's all said and done and it's probably better to pick a lone MVP. I would've preferred less "hand the ball to Kobe and watch him shoot" from the West, outside some great dunks I personally didn't find his chase of the MVP/scoring record that enthralling (and I have a feeling that's what Jon was referring to as well) but it was by no means a boring game and yeah, a big game for Kobe on his home floor.

I guess I'm just pointing out it could have been worse! He could have gone into Kobe Lakers mode and take shitty jumpers over other defenders.

Well, it's his homecourt so everyone would have known before the game that they're looking to pass the rock to Kobe.

I realise that, I'm just saying that I didn't always find that entertaining. I wouldn't begrudge or belittle anyone who thought otherwise, that's just my take on the game and I would certainly hope that Kobe Bryant fans vehemently disagree with that point of view. He did have some nice moves though, that up-and-under two handed dunk in particular was nice.

Well, tell you the truth, I thought it was a boring game too. The East comeback wasn't exciting at all either. It was missing that 'x-factor'.

Did anybody else see that Ray Allen desperation 3-pointer fading way left in the closing seconds? Amazing. James was amazing too. Nobody could stop him when he takes it all the way to the rim.
Travel anyone???

yeah the game was boring. there were too many celtics in the game, too many "boring" players like duncan & love who got there on hard work and not flashy plays. it was an all-star game minus guys like shaq, iverson, tmac, & vince carter, so we were subject to kobe & durant jacking up alll the shots

Lolz. My buddy was telling me that KD was gonna win the MVP today and I told him that there was no way Kobe would let that happen by jacking up more shots. Turns out I was right.

Sorry Sit, I don't think I'll be appearing in the game anytime soon

It was cute seeing Lebron get his panties in a bunch on his Eastern Conference team mates.

It's LeBron's natural talent as a leader dammit!

Anybody know what LBJ was wearing on his arm in the game?

Just watched the game, was disappointed with the Eastern squad, very sloppy play in the first half. Wade couldn't guard Kobe, Joe Johnson did a decent job in the fourth quarter.

He doesn't get called for that in regular season games, so no wonder he didn't in the All-Star Game.
