NBA 2k11 PC Patch Released - Impressions

Does the patch includes the cavaliers court and alternate jerseys? Because I can't find them in mine

^Reinstall the game. That should fix it.

None of my Orlando Magic jerseys appear correctly post patch. Is there a way to rectify this?

if you have the default blue laned cavs court, it will overwrite it. if you have a patched one, it will not overwrite.



The patch does NOT include the missing alternate jerseys.

Been there done that. I tried everything. From simple reinstalling to tweaking of virtual memory to reformatting even to praying ( seriously ) . Nothing works. I've also tried using the DVD to run the game instead of running it through cracked .exe or mounting it's images. Still nada. And for the record, I do have the original game disk. It's just that I don't like the hassle of changing disk every time I wanna play a game hence the cracks.

I thank for the help up till this point though. But more ideas would definitely be appreciated. Thanks once again. And please help me more...

I am having a problem installing the patch. Whenever I try to install the zip file, a message box appears that says it no game is installed in my pc even thought the game is in my D drive. I've tried installing it in my C drive and run the patch again but still the message appears. has anyone encountered this problem? thanks

After seeing the massive amount of people asking for new cracks on many different sites after patch was released i can see why 2k just doesnt give a stuff about us PC users.
And we are still lucky it gets released on PC at all.

They release it super cheap its an absolutely amazing game yet sales for PC version were still probably outnumbered by pirate versions.
If we dont get a PC version next year i hope the pirates are happy they got the game for free but it cost them the chance of future versions released on PC.

As for the patch only thing i dont really like about it is
Online no better (graphics an disconnects)
Fouling with default sliders is real bad.
An can no longer pass out of shot when driving an player does a layup.

What are the sliders i need to change to get foul calling back to before patch?

Try this in compatibility:

You're XP right? So it's okay
Check:
run as admin
run in 640x480 resolution
disable desktop something(not sure if there's such option on XP.)

Those anyone tried to use the US patch on EU versions so you can have the US floor on your EU? i tried it and it works perfect! i have all US floor on my game! I will post the method I've used if anyone wants to know

It's so cheap because it's an NBA-Game which has not even Slam Dunk- and 3-Point-Shootout Contest license. If the complete All Star Weekend would be in, I would actually pay much more for it.

The game is already deep in content even without a full all star weekend. I bet if they raised the price and provided proper post release support, they would get the same amount of sales.

They need to use their online content system as a way to combat the piracy of their game. They can do this by checking to see if its legitimate from their server when you start it up. People could still pirate, but wouldn't be able to use any of the online features.

Im noticing alot more lag after the patch, even though the benchmark doesn't acknowledge it... anyone experiencing it?

I checked my steam folder and the patch is only for 3 files huh? the 82mb+ exe and the f004 and f004 lo right? Thank goodness it didn't mess up my downloaded mods

hey 2k why you did not fix the bug in my player mode where in a player who have 6 fouls will keep on playing the whole game WTF!!!!

just played 2 games so far: RR4 and sliders

1 in my Association with Memphis: So far everything looks ok. You need to practice on your shots first to know the correct releases.
Fouls so far look ok to me. you need to timing when trying to block shots coz I noticed if your
late or a bit early you get called a foul
after a week of practice, so far only 2 of my players have 4 or 5 stars the rest is one. not sure if this is bad or maybe my other players were just bad

1 My player : seems realistic to me. now i need to be selective of my shots not like before you can just catch and shoot and get
the "Good selection" . Fast break is now limited. I have to work hard for my stats this time which is good.

I forgot to mention that in my association, the generated players does not have a portrait. do you know guys how to fix this?

^You mean rookies? They don't have any.

The only thing i dont like is trading players, its just too easy to make a good trade...

Is it just me, or is breaking trough the defense harder now? I mean, like with Westbrook you could get past the guards and then dunk, but post patch its harder to do that...

Hey Pare, I bought my 2k11 in DATABLITZ, I'm thinking of downloading this PC Patch but what version should I get? EU or US? I'm still contented in the My Pre-Patch NBA 2k11 though.

My first impressions:

My Player:

- i played only 3 games so far, but i think its a bit more realistic now. I play as a PF and i like the new Playbook calls, makes it more interesting for me. It seems like you can`t run anymore anywhere you want and get you the ball.
- it is harder to defend, i commit more fouls and less blocks than before
- well just 3 NBA games so far


5 on 5:

- i didnt notice many changes so far, i use the same sliders as before the patch with nearly the same results
- it looks like it is a bit easier to knock the ball and get a reach in steal

Are you kidding? I'm checking this in Association.

Sure enough, guys not only can be brought back in (manual sub) after they foul out, but if subs are set on auto they are brought back in after fouling out (by the CPU.)

In a couple of threads about the patch, prior to the patch release, people insisted this was fixed.

Is it still an issue in the console versions?

This kind of makes the game unplayable. Fouling out is a basic basketball rule.
