Talk about NBA 2K11 here.

Just played against the Timberwolves. Had the game in control in the first half - wasn't up big, just ten points or so, but they weren't looking like decreasing the margin any. Then, they had a 23-9 third quarter, which mostly involved LA bricking wide open shots, layups, and free throws, whilst Minnesota was hitting contested fadeaways, to take a double-digit lead of their own into the fourth. This has happened in the last three or four games I've played. I remember Live used to have a setting that would do this sort of thing, is there something like that in 2K? Or am I stuck making late-game comebacks against shitty teams for the rest of the season?

haha its happening to me too...
I just assumed the patch made it harder and i cant be consistent down the stretch.

Try turning off clutch factor or lowering the clutch slider. See if that helps.

It's happened in every NBA game I've ever played.
Deal with it.

It's been off the entire time.

My Situation is different, I'm using a Custom Slider(All Star Level). In my game the 1st half belongs to the CPU, then when the 3rd quarter starts, My Team's Defense becomes stable/balance while the CPU's offense is toned down compared to their 1st half performance, I usually lead by 8 to 12 points after the 3rd quarter, then the 4th quarter is where the Stamina/Endurance factor takes effect, so for me the 4th quarter is equal.

Clutch factor down to 50/25(Player/CPU) and consistency of CPU will be 47. Try that.
