I would like to see who you guys would think deserve a spot in the All-Star reserves. Both EAST and WEST.
EAST (not in any particular order)
6-Rajon Rondo
7-Paul Pierce
8-Ray Allen
9-Kevin Garnett
10-Raymond Felton
11-Chris Bosh
12-Joe Johnson
WEST (not in any particular order)
6-Deron Williams
7-Manu Ginobili
8-Dirk Nowitzki
9-Monta Ellis
10-Russel Westbrook
11-Blake Griffin
12-Lamar Odom or Pau Gasol
You might have noticed that I had 4 celtics on my EAST reserves, but I think all 4 of them deserve the honor.
Choosing WEST reserves was harder than choosing the EAST's because so many Western Conference players deserve the honor but are usually snubbed each year not as like the Eastern Conference players that make you not want to finish the 7 players on the reserves because only few deserve it.

I thought the Allstar reserves composed of 2 guards, 2 forwards, 1 center and 2 wildcards

Yea, I have the guards and forwards but I can't think of any EAST or WEST center deserving the honor so I just used the limited space for more deserving players.

Fuck the Celtics having 4 All-stars wold be worse than the Heat winning the championship in 2006.

Who else would deserve it more than those 4?
Wed Feb 02, 2011 10:24 pm
I'd put Felton and Joe Johnson over Ray Allen
Pierce is deserving
Rondo too
Josh Smith over KG
No centers ? I'm not saying Al Horford is a great center but he is good enough to make the All-star this year
Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:01 pm
no way that Boston has 4 all-stars and Miami has 3, while the Bulls have only one. Boozer or Deng should be selected for the ASG.
And if not, I don't see how DRose won't get the MVP trophy

rayallen20, I really don't care what he says , I have my own opinion. I've read the article though , but I'm still not convinced he deserves the spot over Felton .

As we know the allstar reserves haven't been announced yet, but they will be announced in an hour long segment, thursday night on tnt. Here are my reserves for east and west
Pau Casol
Blake Griffin
Tyson chandler
Deron Williams
Kevin Martin (11 in scoring)
Monta Ellis
Manu Ginoboli
Kevin Love
Lamarcus Aldridge
___________________________
I know where are the small forwards
East reserves
Danny Granger
Josh Smith
Rajon rondo
Joe Johnson
Al Horford
Carlos Boozer
Ray Allen
Paul Pierce
______________________________
Maybe Granger shouldn't be in there, but he's a good scorer and can be an allstar some day. I don't know if he has already.
Thu Feb 03, 2011 6:22 am
Yeah he has. And he was better then. Much better than he's been this year.
Thu Feb 03, 2011 8:24 am
How come that everybod has Joe Johnson on his list? The ASG is not about who makes the most money. Johnson sucks big time since signing his ridiculous contract.
Thu Feb 03, 2011 9:39 am
Make Lamar Odom a fricking all star already.
Tyson Chandler and Nene over Lamar Odom? Really? REALLY?!
Thu Feb 03, 2011 9:52 am
hova-, He has a decent shot at making it, despite not even being a top 10 SG in this league, and missing a few weeks. After Boston's big 4, Horford and Bosh, there really isn't any all-star caliber talent left. I have Brand taking the final spot in mine, but in all likelihood, it's between Joe Johnson and Ray Felton, who has fallen off a cliff recently.
Thu Feb 03, 2011 9:57 am
EAST
6-Rajon Rondo
7-Raymond Felton
8-Chris Bosh
9-Josh Smith
10-Ray Allen
11-Kevin Garnett
12-Paul Pierce
WEST
6-Blake Griffin
7-Deron Williams
8-Dirk Nowitzki
9-Lamarcus Aldridge
10-Russell Westbrook
11-Monta Ellis
12-Lamar Odom or Tyson Chandler
Thu Feb 03, 2011 10:56 am
WEST
6-Dirk Nowizki
7-Blake Griffin
8-Deron Williams
9-Manu Ginobili
10-Pau Gasol
11-Kevin Love
12-Lamar Odom
13-Tim Duncan/Lamarcus Aldridge (since Yao will be out there should be a replacement)
EAST
6-Paul Pierce
7-Josh Smith
8-Rajon Rondo
9-G?
10-C?
11-G/F/C?
12-G/F/C?
Maybe put some of the West players into the East
Thu Feb 03, 2011 11:01 am
I'll go with Rajon Rondo, Raymond Felton, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Chris Bosh and Carlos Boozer in the East. For the West, I'll take Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Deron Williams and Dirk Nowitzki. Since Yao Ming will need to be replaced and Gasol could possibly be the one taking his place, I'll also add Tim Duncan.
Thu Feb 03, 2011 11:09 am
Totally forgot about Felton...
Thu Feb 03, 2011 3:36 pm
Oh come on, show the Rockets some love! Throw Kevin Martin into the discussion!

Oh come on, show the Rockets some love! Throw Kevin Martin into the discussion!

He is one of the top 5 players I really don't enjoy to watch play.
Thu Feb 03, 2011 5:04 pm
who i think will make it
WEST
Duncan (replaces Yao in starting lineup), Dirk, Pau, Manu, Deron, Blake, Love, Westbrook (takes Yao's spot on roster)
EAST
KG, Pierce, Horford, Rondo, Felton, Allen, Boozer
i really think blake or love is gonna get screwed, but with yao's injury that increases their chances obviously.
EDIT: and i hope eric gordon finds a way to make the roster

He's one of the most effective guards in the league. His problem is that he's always on the wrong team and does not attract a whole lot attention with his effective play.
Kevin Martin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>< Joe Johnson ... goddam, Martin would be an All-Star for sure on the East.
Thu Feb 03, 2011 6:48 pm
Hova I didn't say he isn't a good player , far from that. Joe Johnson is an overpaid piece of crap. Martin play unattractive basketball, same as Tim Duncan but TD has had a very successful career, and that's why he was chose to many all-star games. I don't think Martin will ever be an All-star , especially in the West
Thu Feb 03, 2011 7:19 pm
I am not convinced Kevin Martin is all that good. He's just a selfish scorer but a good one at that. That's all. He's got no strength, can't rebound and fails on defense. Pretty much one dimensional I'd say. His APG also backs me up imo.
