Derrick Rose! i'm totally agree with Zan, Rondo has great guys around him, who can finish around the rim so he can put up as many assists, as he gets! he rebounds the ball good but numbers isn't outstanding, YES, he is great perimeter defender, and...he doesn't score much and he has no ability to dominate the position and put a team on his back to get a hard win!!!
on the other hand - D.Rose is amazing scorer, he is in top 5 quickest players in the league, he can defend, he grabs rebounds with solid numbers, but he can really dominate, and he is a born to lead! just remember Bulls - Celtics first round series, Rose's first year in the league, when he alongside Ben Gordon make Boston Shit their pants!!!!! amazing player! in 1 or 2 years he will become second Dwyane Wade for sure!

Agreed. Better SCORER AND PLAYER are 2 different things, Rose is by far a better scorer (esp this season with his 3 point shooting) but overall Rondo, and sure having so many HOF players helps get you 22 assists but regardless he is great playmaker.

I wouldn't call Rose just a great scorer, though Rondo is the better rebounder and sure has been racking up the assists this season. I don't think you can fault either choice, I'd personally go with Rose because yes, I am biased in that regard but he's also emerging as a franchise player, still improving his game and playing some great basketball right now.

I don't think you are biased, Andrew. Rose is already a franchise caliber player imo. Without him, the Bulls would only win handful games. The Bulls actually successfully built the team around him from pretty much ground zero. But the same can't be said for Rondo even though he's excelling at his job at the moment. That I think is a big difference.

I wouldn't go that far, if he weren't a tremendous talent he couldn't do the things and put up the numbers that he does. I believe he'd still be a star without them, but it's hard to evaluate Rondo as a franchise player while KG, Pierce and Allen are still around.

And remember when he got kicked(technically) out from the team USA? It's known that he just walked out, but it's true he failed to impress anyone during his time with the team. And I don't think competition was that challenging for a big name player like Rondo. This says he isn't always the perfect fit. Oh yeah, he's currently the best player on the 2nd best team. Still he has a great team.

Plus idk Rondo did a eye liner comercial but he's been in some of the 2K11 commercial and some Nike commercial. He is even the spokesperson for some energy drink. Which commercials excluding the 2K11 and Addidas commercials has D.Rose been on?
